What a great little ramen house close to the Costco on Coleman Avenue near the San Jose airport. They have an excellent variety of Ramen and the servings are good size. They also have other Japanese dishes such as Donburi , fried chicken as well as fried rice. It's all very good and the portions are good. The pricing is very reasonable and the service is good. It's a small place with about 10 tables and it does get crowded during the week. Parking is ample and it's easy to get to. I definitely recommend eating here if you're a ramen foodie.

Decent ramen shop. This is a small restaurant. Indoor dining is available with a handful of tables. Clean and cozy inside. Waitress is friendly and courteous. Menu offers a good variety of ramen broth flavors, a few appetizers, and a simple selection of beverages. I like that this place was open on Sunday where some of the other ramen shops I frequently visit are not. There is a parking lot available for this plaza and the restaurant is conveniently located near two major cross streets: Coleman and Brokaw.

Men-Bei Ramen was one of the pioneers of the early ramen craze which took place in Southern California the 1990's. They started out in Torrance, CA at a Japanese shopping center and we were regulars then, enjoying great food, very generous portions of delicious ramen and friend rice. We were so sad when they one day (suddenly) disappeared and no one really knew what happened. There was a rumor they moved out of state, and we thought they moved due to so much competition - there were many new ramen shops opening everywhere at that time. Our son informed us that he found Men Bei Ramen on Yelp and looking at their old sign we verified it was the same restaurant located in Santa Clara! We frequently visit the Bay Area and Men Bei is a must visit destination for Ramen. Still delicious with great service, served by the original owner! We love this place and think you will too. The Fried Rice is so generous that you will be taking some home for another meal. Friendly and nostalgic atmosphere, we will be back soon! Thank you!

Solid 5/5 ramen shop in san jose. Tried the spicy men-bei ramen (house speciality) and it was just too good. Soup is delicious and the noodles weren’t too thin or thick. Def coming here again. It’s right next to the costco.

We stopped by on our way of our trip from San Francisco, for we were craving Japanese ramen. Both customer service and atmosphere were excellent, needless to say the food! I usually can't finish all and make it to go but there I had all at once!! Hehe we'll definitely be back when we travel to NoCal again! The atmosphere of the store was nice and the staff were kind, making me feel like I was back in Japan. The ramen was very delicious. It's far away so I don't know when I'll be able to go next time, but I'd like to try the omelet rice next time! thank you very much.

Small and cute ramen place. Hubby got the Men Bei ramen and I got the Vegan ramen. The broth for the vegan ramen was described as rich and creamy and boy was it creamy, more so than I would have actually liked. But the taste was pretty good. I was surprised that they had fresh veggies like lettuce and cherry tomatoes in both ramen, something that we don't usually see in other ramen spots. But it didn't phase us and I appreciated the fresh crunch of veggies. We came on a weekday lunch and it wasn't busy at all. The server was so nice and was very attentive. I'm always drinking water constantly and she was kind enough to refill my glass whenever it got to half empty . We even got Hi-Chew candies as a treat after paying.

Ramen was decent here; I’m not usually a fan of ramen from finding it bland.SO ordered omurice and it was HUGE.

The waitress was distant and indifferent ? and they suggested that for us to replace beef in yakisoba with tofu we have to pay $3 for the tofu like seriously?

Nice traditional ramen restaurant. I often see Japanese people eating here, which is not something you'd see in other ramen shops.
