Coffee is great - strong yet smooth lattes that you can get in for here mugs or to go cups. I’ve also tried their cookies which are nice. The seating is comfortable and there’s usually a seat open which is nice. Overall, a great coffee shop to try and it’s nice to stay a bit as well. WhatCoffee & Bakery is a wonderful coffee shop and bakery across from Franklin Mall, featuring a spacious, bright, and very well decorated cozy cafe with window seats and a lot of natural light. The baked goods, including croissants, cakes, and pastries, are made in house. Reviews highlight the chocolate croissant, almond croissant, pistachio croissant, mushroom & avocado sandwich on a ciabatta bun, chocolate cakes, and berry danish as fresh, delicious, flaky, buttery, and phenomenal, with some noting the croissants can be very crunchy. Drinks like the hot oak milk matcha and flat white are noted as good, though the coffee was also described as rather generic by one visitor. The staff is happy to customize drinks and is incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly, though service can sometimes be slow. The experience can be inconsistent, with one mention of an underwhelming ube tiramisu and an unlabeled display. It is a dog-friendly establishment.
