Been enjoying Mobo for years and worth the trip to Santa Cruz from San Jose. The sushi chef’s are very creative ask for a chefs roll and they will make it special. Not all photos are from the same trip. Consistency on their rolls. Top quality.

Mobo Sushi in downtown Santa Cruz offers excellent food with super fresh fish and fluffy tempura. The service is attentive, and the chef is delightful. The restaurant has a big beautiful fish tank and interesting decorations. They are known for their high-quality pickled dishes. A consistent favorite for nearly 30 years, Mobo Sushi continues to impress with immaculate presentation and divine flavors, making it a must-try dining spot in Santa Cruz.
The space is great, considering it's located in a Trader Joe's strip mall parking lot. The rolls and nigiri are very good, though the Oshi Tashi lacked flavor. Customers highly suggest the Giyuniku Udon and Holy Moly Maki. The vegetarian rolls, including the Guido and Crop Burning, are also praised. Additionally, the restaurant offers a sake domino pour one day a week, which customers find enjoyable.
