Amazing food!!! Best Calamari of all time- LOVED IT! The service was okay. It's all about the food. Absolutely, phenomenally, delectable. Beautiful Koa wood throughout the restaurant which I appreciated along with the incredible view.

I’m really disappointed by our experience at Olitas. We came in to celebrate my son’s 7th birthday with a party of 7, and what should have been a fun family dinner turned into an exhausting and uncomfortable experience.
Service was incredibly slow from the beginning. We waited about 20 minutes just to receive salsa and guacamole after being seated. After placing our food order, another 10 minutes passed before the chef actually came out from the kitchen to retake our entire order himself, which already felt like a red flag.
Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. My mom was served the wrong meal, the ahi tacos I received were cold, dry, and honestly inedible, and my dad never received his food at all.
When we asked to speak to the manager, we stayed calm and understanding because we knew it was Memorial Day weekend and they were busy. We weren’t looking for free food or a fight - we simply wanted the meals we didn’t receive or couldn’t eat removed from the bill. Instead, the manager became loud, rude, dismissive, and even walked away from us mid-conversation. She later returned with another employee to confront our table, which felt incredibly unprofessional and unnecessary.
To make matters worse, it took another 20 minutes just to get our check, and the manager outright refused to speak to us again.
As someone local to the area, this experience was honestly disheartening. I understand restaurants get overwhelmed during busy weekends, but basic professionalism, communication, and respect for customers should still matter. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences my family has had in a long time.

My family and I went here for my grandson's birthday. We were a party of seven. We were greeted by a very confused waiter, who didn't seem to know much about the restaurant at all, including where the bathroom was. Our order was taken and was made in error twice. Finally, the cook came out and asked us what we ordered. The food started coming out the mahi.Tacos were so dry.You could not swallow them. My husband never even got his food for fajitas. When we reported our concern to the manager, she rolled her eyes, accused us of lying about what we ordered, waved her hands and walked away. We try to settle the bill and refuse the last dish that never came out.The staff made us wait fifteen minutes before they would even allow us to pay the bill. They ignored and hid. The manager what's super rude. We tipped the poor waiter anyway, because he looked like he was just as much of a victim as we were. Never again. This whole pathetic visit to this restaurant lasted us a horrifying, two and a half hours!

Service was odd. Placed order through the QR code on the table, then waiter came to take our order. Told him I already ordered and he was so confused he left and had to go ask people at the bar. Said we never use that code and didn’t know it was there. Why have a QR code on the table if you don’t know people are using it?

Chips and salsa were good. That’s about where it ends. My wife and i each got the Baja fish tacos. My first bite tasted like melted plastic. I took another bite from a different taco, still the same. She also tried my tacos and also thought they tasted like plastic. One of her tacos was missing pico. Are these fish microwaved in plastic containers? Lobster empanadas also tasted like they were microwaved.

Place seems like a decent bar for getting a drink with a view but I cannot recommend eating any food from here. $100 for 6 plastic tacos and 3 bad empanadas.

We used to love this place. The last two times we found our food and drinks not as good. This last time, my drink came warm, not cold at all. We asked the bartender to re-shake it, and they said “I’ll get to it when I can” 🤷‍♀️ it came out colder but watered down, naturally.

We ordered the nachos with meat for $26. It says “melted cheddar cheese” what came out was gas station nacho squeeze cheese.

A family of 6 came in and all 6 of them were watching something on their phones/tablets with full volume. It would have been really great if the restaurant had a policy for this, but nobody said anything to them.

I thought the food was pretty good for the price. Mezcal Paloma a bit underwhelming for the price- mezcal, grapefruit juice ( doubt fresh), salt. Exactly what I ordered, though. Kids portions are huge- could easily split. Only real complaint about atmosphere was noise level, kinda bright lighting near kitchen. We came after sunset, and I bet the view by day or sunset was spectacular. Our server Jesus was attentive, prompt, and friendly- perfect.

Fantastic tacos and wonderful views. But, no air conditioning we were all dying of the heat, beware the seats by the windows during hotter days. Picture shows a taco Tuesday special showing a lobster taco with large chunks of lobster and 1/4 or 1/3 of an avocado on top, and a large carnitas taco; lobster & margarita was $15, carnitas $12, and the margaritas were strong and yummy. Fantastic deal for March 2026, especially given the size and quality of the tacos. Service was polite but took too long, they looked understaffed, maitre de wasn't seating people a bunch of the time so grabbing seats in the bar was the way to go.

Updated as of December 2025: Under new ownership, and you can tell. The quality has suffered greatly, and quite a few staples you would come back for are no longer the same. It's clear the ingredients are not top-notch, and it really comes through in the dishes. And even though there was a small 'refresh' to the interior, the restaurant still feels dated and a little dirty. Which is a shame, given they truly do have the best views of any restaurant in town. I just wish they would be more proud of it. Instead, it appears they are counting heavily on the tourist traffic, not the return customers. I am sad because the former owner had some beautiful dishes he regularly put on the menu, which made up for the lackluster interior. Now the lipstick is still very much on a pig, and the food doesn't give you a reason to come back. AND... they changed the recipe to the best salsa in the Bay Area. (whimpering) Goodbye, my favorite salsa.

Found a hair in the food and the manager whipped it off and said hair cooks got gray hairs and still had an attitude

Two stars: One for the attentive waitress and one for the harbor view. Zero stars for the food. The worst food I have ever eaten. They offered a taco and drink for $12. First I was given complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were ok but very thick. The salsa was a thick brown substance with a few chunks of tomato which tasted awful. The soft taco was about 4 inches in diameter. There was about 3 or 4 ounces of (supposedly) blackened fish. It tasted nothing like fish and had the consistency of chicken with little flavor. It wasn't blackened but covered with a brown substance and laid upon a bed of expired cabbage. I ordered a triple ginger non-alcoholic beer which tasted good but nothing like beer. The waitress was helpful and pleasant.
The amount of food was appetizer quantity NOT worthy of a meal.
Horrible experience!

Food was pretty bland and expensive, looked good though. Very loud in there even though it wasn't too busy.

A bit grungy. 💁

Reserved a table here for Valentine's Day. Waited for a hostess for 20 minutes. Drunk server made a scene up front. Waited for a while to be served, servers forgot to bring utensils and napkins. Ran out of Ceviche for the Appitzer Sampler, decided to pile our sampler platewith a mountain of browning guacamole with no extra chips. When food finally came out, it was subpar at best. Steak was overcooked and reduction was burnt. It took 20 minutes for them to give us the check. Would not recommend.

Only giving two stars because at least their Margaritas they served were good.

I really wish I could give this place more stars because the server was very sweet, however the rest of the experience was not so great… we came in on a rainy day and had to wait almost 10 minutes for someone to greet us. We ended up sitting at the bar and it took a while to be greeted by the bartender. We then finally had a server step in and take our order while also bartending a few drinks. The food took forever to come. The male bartender was not friendly at all… We finally asked for chips and salsa after around 45 minutes of waiting for food, and realized they forgot to give them to us at first. Definitely will not be coming back if we ever visit the beach again
