Pretty mid café out of all of them on campus.
The workers here aren't the best (at least the ones that were in today in the morning).
The playlist was good, but they had it turned up too loud, so they couldn't hear what people were ordering very well. I don't mind repeating myself once or twice, but it's common sense to just turn the music down if you're struggling that bad. The girl even started getting a slight attitude even though it's not really our fault she can't hear over the speaker and her coworker who is belting out songs every five seconds. I'm very well-versed in the insidious fake smile and side eye that people do. I get it, student workers are tired and underpaid (like most other people in Santa Cruz) but it's already difficult enough to navigate this campus purely because of its design. No need to act so stand-offish towards people. You are babies and don't know anything about the workforce yet or how to live with people respectfully. Cons of being an older Gen Z working at a college campus with fresh high school grads, I guess.
No yogurt?

Quality is hit or miss (high turn over rate? bad management?). Subpar customer service and over priced. Better Buzz is a couple of blocks away, great option with more consistency.
Love, love this bar. Great drinks, friendly bar tenders, and a wonderful ambiance. A night place to have a get together with friends and/or watch any game. Parking can be tricky sometimes, but I've always enjoyed my time when at this bar. The owners are super nice and makes you feel like you're part of the family.
Asked for soy milk due to an allergy — proceeded to watch the guy make it with normal milk instead. I get people make mistakes but now I’m stuck wasting $4 on something I can’t really drink.
Not bad they have plenty of options but you would be better off going to a different cafe.

Service is good, coffee is as well depending on who makes it. Sometimes it's too milked or watered down or the cup is half full.
They have left AND right twix.

Great quick stop for snacks or coffee between classes.
No healthy food choices. They run out of pastries in the middle of the day. There is an urgent need for more dining options on campus. End the monopoly on campus food choices!!
As you'd expect at UCSC, the Perk Coffee Bar has several delicious vegan snack option including a hummus cucumber sandwich and a tofu wrap.
Nice place to sit and study (option of tables or comfy chairs). Mellow music usually playing and good WiFi signal too.
Their Sticky Buns are like pure shots of sugar. Super delicious caramel mixed in with pecans and cinnamon. Not recommended as a breakfast item, but if you want a sugar high..
