Hidden gem. This is a bar with good central coast wine. Not a location for food. Prohibition Era cocktails and variations on pour. Bartender Dennis is excellent. Atmosphere is 1980's.
This is my second visit to Santa Maria for work, and the second time staying at the Santa Maria Inn. I’ll start with the rooms, I’ve only stayed in the newer rooms (tower) and I love! The original rooms are older because it’s a historical hotel, so know that when coming. This hotel has it all, no need to leave, pool, 2+ bars, and a restaurant with great food. The outside looked nice, but inside was very run down. In need of lots of repairs for the walls, carpet, baseboards. A picture outside the elevator had cracked glass. The bathrooms look like what you'd get with an older motel. Visible hairs left behind and splatters on several doors from something (cleaning supplies hopefully). The room itself was ok.
