When I stopped by in the spring, California hadn't fully reopened yet. Although much of the Social Eats food hall here at Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade was closed, one stand was mercifully open: Adelaide Coffeebar. As its name implies, there's Aussie inspiration here, whether on certain menu items (long black, flat white) or the fact that they use Vittoria beans, which are roasted in Australia. My long black was smooth, rich, and bold, in line with how it ought to be a stronger version of an americano. Service was fast and efficient, and although the interior wasn't open when I stopped by, there's a sun-drenched standing patio outside. A nice find while out and about on Third Street.

I’m picky about coffee. Would have expected a place with an Aussie name would know what a flat white is. First caution: came in small and large. A flat white by definition is 6 oz. though it’s almost always made giant and overmilked in the US. So we emphasized ordering a *small* - and got a 12 oz. latte. No foam, little coffee, just warm milky drink. It wasn’t bad for a latte - but I didn’t want a latte.

I had one thing here last year: an iced honeybee latte. It was delicious, lightly sweet. The barista was enjoyable to chat with, and it gave me the idea to make my own copycat honeybee latte at home. The latte itself was 5 stars. Now I enjoy my own at home during quarantine. Thanks, Adelaide Coffeebar.I no longer work around here, but if extraordinary circumstances bring me to 3rd Street Promenade I'd be happy to stop by again.

Amazing service! Always nice and friendly staff. And their iced honeybee late is amazingly good! Cant wait to try their food!

For an Australian style coffee bar, the coffee was bitter. Wouldn't last 10 minutes in Sydney or Melbourne, maybe 15 in Brisbane. 2nd star because it is better than Starbucks, but that isn't hard.

I don't review a lot of things because who has the time but Adelaide is worth it. I usually get a matcha and the bacon egg & cheese breakkie sandwich and I just have to say it's soooo good. Everything they make is delicious & properly made w/ care. two thumbs up, five stars, 10/10, all of it.

Terrible coffee service this morning. Flat white originally came in a large cup with no foam, then when I asked for a replacement, it was in a smaller cup but still just hot milk and no foam whatsoever. Barista was not friendly or receptive to feedback. Avoid this one!

Was in Santa Monica over the weekend for a girl's trip and needed our morning coffee fix! We wanted to find a local spot and Adelaide came up on Yelp! It is located in a cool food hall with multiple concepts on the Promenade. Since we were early, the other concepts weren't open but I was able to get an oat milk latte and chia seed pudding! The latte was good, didn't totally knock my socks off but did cure my coffee craving. The chia pudding was an AMAZING with berries and granola. A healthy start to the day which was so needed before a full day of wine tasting. All in all, a good experience and i'd come back if here again, especially to try some of the other concepts in the building.

This place was cute! It’s located inside the Gallery on Third St Promenade and opens at 8am so it’s good for me to get a caffeine fix. They give you a discount if you work in Santa Monica, and it was nice of the barista to proactively offer that. There’s coffees, lattes, and teas along with a couple of breakfast items. I really liked the honeybee latte I got ($5 for small, $6 for large). It comes with the option of oat, almond, or whole milk, although of course it tastes best with whole milk. The latte was lightly sweetened and the taste of honey peeked through. The service was friendly and the drinks are good - will definitely put this on my rotation of coffee shops in Santa Monica.

Located in the middle of social eats food hall on the first floor at 3rd street promenade. Tried the honeybee latte and it was so good! Lightly sweetened and perfect with oat milk.

Let me just say: I LOVE coffeebars and I haven't seen too many in LA. This one is an amazing little bar in the middle of SocialEats, which is in the Gallery. You can come here, have some wine or beer, order a coffee, socialize, and eat some good food too. This place really has it all. Adelaide is great, the coffee is good and it has a great wine selection. I was greeted by Candice when I sat down and she was the coolest, and my oat milk latte was perfect. It's not a coffee shop, so don't come here looking for a place to sit and work, but definitely come for great food and drinks with great company!

Candice makes a peppermint hot coco that SLAPS :)) it is fluffy pepperminty and tasty would order again

The Cortado with caramel was absolutely delicious. It's small in size but packs a good caffeine punch.

Good looking but ineffective server who served me at the bar with cardboard cups instead of real cups! Come on Adelaide, the coffee is good, up your game.
