Very disappointed. This place was one of my favorites, but now they hired someone new and the food was insanely oily, greasy and oddly bitter. Bring back old employees.

We got the garlic shrimp and white bean salad. The $11 shrimp (5 small pieces) seemed like it was microwaved. Tough and rubbery and I don't want to even describe the taste. We reluctantly finished it only because it was $11. The sauce it was in was more lemon than garlic. The bean salad was satisfactory.

Cada Vez brings Spanish food and tapas to the SocialEats area of the Promenade. For tapas, you'll find a small selection that includes escolantes and jamon serrano for about $4 a small plate. They also have sandwiches for about $9-10 that include jamon y queso. The platters look ideal for sharing and variety and would be perfect for a small group along with some beer/wine for the outdoor seating area. I went with a jamon y queso which was okay but pretty forgettable. The bread was dense and not tasty and come with few cool slices of cheese and thing slices of jamon. If you prefer a sandwich, Petit Harvest in the same area is better for a few bucks more.

Delicious Spanish food for the price. Had a large selection of food for 30 dollars! Amazing quality and value for Santa Monica. Go here!

Good Spanish tapas are hard to come by in L.A., so when I find a good spot, I feel compelled to give a shout-out. My son and I stopped in here today, and split the chicken croquettes, the garlic shrimp, and the chicken on a skewer. All were solid. The chicken on a skewer were served with two wedges of lemon for taste, some mayonnaise-like dipping sauce, and a side of bread. It was so beautiful, I almost wish I had taken a picture. Service was prompt, and the dishes, each and every one, were flavorful.

I just returned from Spain and was looking for a place that could take me back to being on a rooftop eating tapas. This is it. The tapas are amazing. Highly suggest the croquettes.

Not authentic at all. This is not what Spanish tapas are. Come on now, the patatas bravas were tator tots with mayo and some weird tasting "brava" sauce. Nope. Never again. Don't waste you $$ like I did. Food not cooked fresh. Croquetas were frozen like the tots. So disappointed :(

I love this place!! I don't know if I have ever seen a fast casual Spanish tapas restaurant, it is genius though! I am the type of person that does not like to commit to one dish so this place is perfect for me. I tired the sautéed garlic shrimp and pan con tomato and simply loved it! I sat right at the bar to enjoy my food and I did not feel like I was in a food hall rather I higher end Spanish restaurant. Can't wait to go back and try more!

The portion size to price ratio is ridiculous. Insulting, almost. Ordered the garlic shrimp and I was gobsmacked when it saw the actual food. I don't believe in massive portions but that was plain rude. I'll try another place next time. 2 stars because the kid at the register was lovely.

Jamon y queso sandwich is great as are the olives with sardines. So glad we finally have good tapas in Santa Monica. Also Josh, the chef is a super cool dude. The whole food court is great.
