UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center - Cafeteria Cafeteria •
1250 16th St, Santa Monica

“The food is really descent here from the pastas to salmon, the salads to soups and pastries unlike other hospitals. Not to brag but overall UCLA is a class on its own and the staff from the medical professionals to the cafeteria staff members are great.“

“I was at smc for the fireworks show. From just walking in, the security were friendly and quick to search the things I brought for my group.I wasn't super early and there were already a lot of families establishing their grounds for the night. There was a lot of room. The mc and band that played kept the energy up, really setting the tone. The show itself was great. A ton of fireworks.Parking was great too.“

“What a wonderful experience. First time at this establishment and I appreciate it very much. We had a nice lunch and enjoyed the history it has to share. It's the perfect spot for families, children, and fans of aviation and history. Ordering was simple. You can use a self order monitor at the front or you can order at the desired food location. You'll get a text when food is ready. They have a variety of food, refreshments, and a bar. Food prices were appropriate as well as portions. Indoor seating gives you the opportunity to enjoy the planes and ambiance of the restaurant. It's was a sunny day so we enjoyed the seating area outdoors located on the patio. There's a playground for your children to enjoy, incoming flights landing at LAX (across the street) that fly directly over head! What a treat for children and those who love planes. Lastly, there's also a path of retired or replicated airplanes, with a history that goes back to wwll. My son was in heaven, as he was inspired to share all of his knowledge on the science of airplanes and the history of aviators Lastly, plenty of free parking! Definitely a place worth visiting.“

“I was surprised of all the good food they have so many options not what I expected for a hospital cafeteria. The one place I don't recommend is the pizza section the people who serve you are always with an attitude. We are going through something bad with our son and we finally decide to go and grab something to eat and have someone serve you with there attitude it doesn't help at all. Those who serve also speak Spanish, that's good because a lot of Hispanic people who don't come in because they don't know that oh, but oh, a lot of good healthy food and those who serve are friendly, well, except those who serve the pizza are bitter without customer service, it's better not to eat to go with them I just are the ones for the pizzas. The cleaners have a better attitude than them.“

“Stopped by and students are lining up to pick up their lunches here. Despite the line, staff is quick to serve. We got our order within five minutes. Got the California Steak Burrito which comes with tortilla chips. The burrito is packed with slices of steak and crispy french fries with the pico de gallo and sour cream to balance the heaviness of the dish. Did not even realize how fast I devoured it. The avocado salsa adds creaminess and acidity to make it taste even better. Definitely hope to come back.“

“A delicious diner in Westwood. It’s been open since 1967, and has a lot of history associated with it. It’s very large on the inside with many different seating options. Inside is designed like a traditional retro diner, which I personally love. We were able to be seated right when we arrived and service was very fast. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot so it will be metered street parking. They have a very large menu filled with all the American diner classics. For my first time I chose the Chili Omelette Supreme and honestly really loved it. It was a very large omelette filled with a very meaty chili and it really hit the spot. The avocado on top was a great addition. We also tried the traditional breakfast, and the pancakes were especially good.Overall a really solid diner option in a nice part of town. I would recommend to any breakfast fan and I plan to be back in the future to try more dishes.Parking: metered street parking only“
