“The Nashville Hot Chicken served on Wednesdays will give Howlin Rays and Daves hot chicken a run for their money. This hidden spot serves really good food and a lot for a reasonable price. They have seating outside and inside. The cal trans building is a great place to take photos also.“

“UK plane geeks visited late September and wow can I say this is probably our favourite place to plane spot and chill out.

This establishment is made for all. The museum side for people interested in military and the history (this goes upstairs as well) Play area outside for the children (sorry adults were not allowed on it!! ?) nice big bar. Lots of old planes and seeing a DC3 is absolutely incredible, it’s a sight you can’t get bored of.
We stayed in LA 17th to the 27th of September and didn’t discover this place until the 21st. We literally came back every day other than 2 days. 27th we were heading home and one day we landed from Phoenix late at night! Otherwise we would be here!

Food is extremely good. Skin on fries is a personal favourite. A few of things I add was the BBQ Burger, the chicken salad, and The pizza with the beef brisket on. Wow and wow it’s incredible! The sofas also have so many options and all the flavours actually give you the flavours like vanilla sodas.

Added extra for people with Buggys/strolers of if you have a disability. Ramp access into the building, viewing the planes as well as coming into the food court. This place caters for literally everyone!

Only niggle is that it doesn’t stay open as long midweek! Otherwise we’d stay until it shut then as well! Nice big car park friendly staff. This is Thee spot to go to if you haven’t already.

For the aircraft geeks like myself. Great landing photos. You can see what’s coming in far side. Can just about full frame widebodies with a 500 lens. Can distinctly tell the different airlines.

Thank you guys ?? brilliant establishment will definitely be back!“

Sierra Guisados Pizza • $
12724 South Central Avenue, Los Angeles

“I have been to both the taco stand and sit in restaurant and they are both really good experiences. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. That is why I booked them for a family party for their catering services. Very professional. They even ask you what your theme is and they try to match it. They came on time, were friendly, and the food was a hit. The food tastes homemade and authentic. You will feel good supporting this Latinx/WOC owned small business that caters to the community.“

Parkside Restaurant and Grill Cafeteria • $$
3771 McClintock Ave, Los Angeles

“for fall of 2022 this place was great but they're very unreliable. They almost always have fries and serve diverse foods compared to the other two cafeterias. Sometimes the food was unacceptable and even near dangerous. A couple time the meat, namely the pork and chicken, wasn't cooked thoroughly enough and seemed hella sus. I got food poisoning from their tofu there once. It's the best cafeteria to go to if you want to fill a hole.“

Rendezvous Cafeteria • $
330 De Neve Dr, Los Angeles

“Rendezvous is an LA institution and lives up to the hype and then some.I always get the Double Dipped Beef Dip, Macaroni Salad, and a Coke Bottle. If you like spicy use the mustard, but be careful it does go a long way. They have a good selection of desserts and I always get the season pie. This time it was peach. It was really good. Can't wait to come back.“

Covel Commons Cafeteria •
330 De Neve Dr, Los Angeles

“As a Bruin alumnus, I have a civic duty to report that Covel Commons is in fact the best dining hall on campus. Not only is the food delicious and convenient, but they have consistent good pizza. Sometimes DeNeve has better pizza, but honestly Covel takes the cake for its consistent, good food, convenience and atmosphere.“

UCLA Medical Center Cafeteria (Cafe Med) Cafeteria • $
10833 Le Conte Ave, Los Angeles

“I am honestly of big fan of the hospital cafeteria. My favorite go to is the salad bar which offers a wide selection of vegetables (breakfast time is fruist with oats etc.) and they rotate the pasta salad daily (Wednesday is Thai noodles and Tuesday is couscous). Other than that, the lunch deli is always on point, and for breakfast the hotplates our swapped out for eggs, sausages, and belgian waffles. They now offer the impossible burger as well (vegan plant based patty).“

Dining Commons at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Cafeteria • $$
757 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles

“I was surprised of all the good food they have so many options not what I expected for a hospital cafeteria. The one place I don't recommend is the pizza section the people who serve you are always with an attitude. We are going through something bad with our son and we finally decide to go and grab something to eat and have someone serve you with there attitude it doesn't help at all. Those who serve also speak Spanish, that's good because a lot of Hispanic people who don't come in because they don't know that oh, but oh, a lot of good healthy food and those who serve are friendly, well, except those who serve the pizza are bitter without customer service, it's better not to eat to go with them I just are the ones for the pizzas. The cleaners have a better attitude than them.“
