“let me start by saying this is the BEST vegan Ethiopian food i've ever had. i have frequented a lot of Ethiopian restaurants and the veggie platter combos just don't compare to Berbere. the atmosphere is so calming and refreshing and the ambiance is amazing. the staff were quick and efficient as well as attentive without being annoying. the food was served fresh AND hot and the flavors will excite a party in your tummy!! i went here with my mom and we shared everything. to start i ordered the et tacos and let me tell you the reviews for the tacos were right on the money. i never thought id like a taco that wasn't traditional but these made me rethink tacos as a whole. the flavors were so powerful and delicious. honestly it's just best if you're reading this to just try them. no amount of words can describe the flavors. for the main dish, we ordered the eat the rainbow with red lentils, yellow garbanzo beans, purple cabbage and potatoes, and kale. although i loved everything the KALE was the star of the show. it really surprised me how freaking delicious it was. i mean it was tangy but also seasoned just right. cooked to perfection if i do say so myself. to drink we both ordered the blackberry (could've been blueberry not sure?) mint lemonade and it was refreshing. i didn't feel guilty drinking it at all. for dessert i ordered the sublime confection and it was superb!! it's an interesting dessert to describe but it had banana and chocolate and ice cream and that was enough for me to order. the banana was not overwhelming either. i ended off dinner with a hot cacao and i burned my tongue so badly but it was so good i didn't even mind it. the cacao was so rich and thick. it was a nice treat to end a wonderful dinner. all in all our experience here was everything and more. i cannot wait to go back soon because it's right near my job two blocks away. side note: it is on the pricier side but i promise you won't feel robbed or cheated the portions AND the flavors are worth every damn penny. berbere is a 10000/10.“

“Probably the best Ethiopian food in L.A. They cook it fresh to order with high-quality meats, very tender, and good portions. We don't go here often though, because the food advantage is outweighed by the long delays in getting the food. We have never waited less than 40 minutes after ordering. Also the service isn't the greatest and the atmosphere is cramped and not the best. So depends on what you want -- great food, or a more comfortable, all-around dining experience. If you want the former, Awash is your choice. If the latter, there are plenty of other Ethiopian places nearby with really good food that are quicker and more comfortable inside, with better service.“

“This Restaurant + Mini Market is located in the city of New Delhi. I have visited multiple other similar businesses, and I found this restaurant and their menus satisfying and in a kind of right out of your mom's kitchen feeling and, unapologetically, can be declared the best in town.Famous for their Gluten-free-Teff Betty Injera, Hambasha, Kitfo, Quanta Firfir, Awaze Tibs, Ts'om Beyeynetu, Nech' Tibs. and Chechebssa. If you love coffee, don't forget to ask Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony at the end.Identified: Betty Yetef Bread, Hambasha, Katfo, Kanta Frfr; Awaze Tibs; Fasting in its various forms; while squeezing white roast. If you buy coffee; Not forgetting the Ethiopian Coffee Restaurant!#Gluten_Free #Ethiopian #Grape #Ethiopian_Coffee“

Meals By Genet Ethiopian • $$

“This is the kind of resturant where the whole staff care about what they are doing. As a result, the atmosphere is welcoming, the vibes cozy, and the food delicious. It's a perfect spot for a lingering date night. The best part of the night was when Chef Genet herself brought out her famous Dorowat for our party. It's earthy and deeply flavorful, a real treat. The vegetable dishes were my favorites, they all tasted very fresh and bright. A few words of caution, finding parking in the area can be tricky. The space is a little dark and echoy, so guests with vision or hearing problems may struggle.“

“The sambusas were the best I’ve ever had, and the next time I visit, I’m probably ordering three. The pastry was golden, flaky, crunchy, and so so flavorful. They were a huge hit with everyone at the table. Our hudade was great too, but the sambusas will absolutely be what we come back for.“

“I love this little hidden gem. The food is good and they always have tej, the Ethiopian honey wine. I’m vegan so a good veggie combo and sambusa makes me happy. Like most Ethiopian places those with dietary restrictions of meat or dairy can find something good to eat. The prices are decent and the atmosphere feels authentic though casual. The service is friendly enough and they don’t hover so you get to enjoy your meal in peace.Vegetarian options: The veg options are great including a combo plate, lots of veg sides, sambusa appetizers and drinks.“
