Unfortunately after 33 years the Interactive Cafe has closed (high rent increase). It was a great community coffee shop owned by a Santa Monica couple. It will be missed.
I absolutely count on this place for my sanity for my walk to work. The bagel and lox is sublime. Always served with a 'good morning'.
Loved my expresso, they know how to do a good one.

Customers appreciated the relaxed atmosphere, complete with jazzy music, and the friendly staff. The cafe was open early, making it a great spot for breakfast. The menu featured items like baklava and oat milk lattes. While some found the coffee and pastries to be not quite what they expected, others enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately, the cafe has closed due to high rent increases.
