Everything on their menu is excellent. You're paying for quality of food and service. The staff is very friendly, professional, and attentive; they always make sure my glass of wine is never empty. Furthermore, the atmosphere is quiet and mellow; perfect, if you don't like to shout at everyone you talk to.

Food was delicious, everything comes at a price nothing, even bread and dip. It's worth if you can spend $50 per person min.

Superb food ranks with the best of LA, New York and Italy! Top choice for Italian in Santa Monica hands down (and we have tried them all). A neighborhood gem with delightful service and atmosphere. We will return as often as we can afford it.

Food is over priced for the taste. There is no flavor in this food. $35 for duck Ragu I didn't taste no meat the sauce not enough or barely any taste. The server was akward she had blonde hair. The only normal person there was the Mexican lady I think she was a busser but she should have been the waiter. Anyway yeah not coming back also I saw a lot of good reviews that's why I came here on Valentine's Day. Anyway I give it 5/10

The backyard is dimly lit and there are candles on the table, creating a memorable atmosphere. Heat lamps were more than adequate. Not loud, and not packed cheek to jowl, so it's easy to have conversations here. Very few kids here. The food was great quality, well prepared, good portion sizes, served warm. The fare is upper tier, traditional Italian, with little to no innovation. There are a few vegetarian choices but that's not a strength here. For dessert we tried tiramisu, which was mostly cream and lacked flavor. We didn't see our server all that much and had to ask another for a refill of water. The location is right on busy Lincoln, which unfortunately does not have much for public transit. Great place for a romantic dinner or other special occasion. I would probably come back.

We are very grateful to have such a great local restaurant - Always amazing food - never a bad night. All the staff enjoy working there and it shows and makes your experience all the better - great service! Beautiful ambiance whether inside or out. The specials are always interesting so we are always trying new things. Highly recommend this place!

Outstanding value for the quality of the food. I was expecting it to be much more expensive. The calamari appetizer was as delicious as was the pasta with duck ragu. Happy Hour pricing on wine and appetizers was a pleasant surprise. I thought the music playing in the restaurant was a bit too loud and didn't hurt the ambiance a bit. Overall, highly recommended.

A great Italian restaurant on Lincoln Blvd. in Santa Monica. The food is excellent, and the waiters are terrific. The small patio is perfect for conversation. They need more customers, so if you want a perfect Italian meal, Piccolo Santa Monica is the place to go!

Food was good but pricy for what is offered and taste. Service was very lacking. Friends arrived early and got seated. Their drinks were not out by the time rest of party arrived. Overall a few of the guest commented on lack of service and attention. Too many Hidden fees . $11 non gratuity fee, charged for bread/oil (normally complementary) and no disclosure on restaurant website on 20% gratuity fee for party of 6. (Normally its 8 people)
