Superb food ranks with the best of LA, New York and Italy! Top choice for Italian in Santa Monica hands down (and we have tried them all). A neighborhood gem with delightful service and atmosphere. We will return as often as we can afford it.
The backyard is dimly lit and there are candles on the table, creating a memorable atmosphere. Heat lamps were more than adequate. Not loud, and not packed cheek to jowl, so it's easy to have conversations here. Very few kids here. The food was great quality, well prepared, good portion sizes, served warm. Everything on their menu is excellent. You're paying for quality of food and service. The staff is very friendly, professional, and attentive; they always make sure my glass of wine is never empty. Furthermore, the atmosphere is quiet and mellow; perfect, if you don't like to shout at everyone you talk to.
