Absolutely electric casual pizza spot much needed in the neighborhood. I've had slices (they can make fresh slices or any of their pizzas), whole pizzas, and salads and it is really darn good. Love the dough flavor and resulting light crisp crust; and the toppings are all really fresh and original. Sooo much flavor. Whatever cheese they use is addicting. As an Italian I feel qualified to declare: Sampa’s Santa Monica has the best slices in town - hands down. Terrific place to enjoy some pizza, spinach ravs, with a cold beer or glass of wine. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Just blocks from the bluff.

The food is really darn good, made with high quality, fresh ingredients that taste like they are from a garden. The dough has great flavor, resulting in a light crisp crust, and the cheese is outrageously good and addicting. Every slice is fresh cooked, not reheated. The setting is welcoming and relaxed with warm lighting, a friendly vibe, Brazilian music, sports on TV, easy patio seating, and plenty of parking. It is great for crew gatherings, casual hang-outs, and enjoying the sunshine.
The family-owned restaurant has the nicest staff with Brazilian-inflected smiles. They offer a great happy hour daily from 3 to 6pm, featuring 2 for 1 beers, $10 personal 10-inch pizzas, and great food and drink deals. It is a terrific place to enjoy pizza with a cold beer or glass of wine, providing one of the best deals in town and standing out as the best pizza in town with the best slices in town.
