Food is good on its own but worst cross contamination I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. Stopped ordering burritos years ago cause there were always random droppings of different foods in it that didn’t belong there. Started ordering cheese enchiladas and the last two times I’ve gotten them there have been random CHUNKS of meat on them. Last time it was some brown mystery meat and LOTS of it—this time chunks of chicken. I’m disgusted. Anytime I’ve mentioned this problem to my friends they complained about their own experiences with the same thing. If you have any allergies or food restrictions, AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.

Great tacos! I had the asada and chorizo. Both great served on corn tortillas. The chips and red hot sauce were a nice touch with a decent spice level.

I've been eating here for over 20 years, it's been constantly reasonably priced, providing great service and yummy food. The people working there remember who you are and what you order, an awesome neighborhood spot that isn't trendy, providing a taste of home cooking. Im so thankful they are keeping their doors open while it seems all the family owned, mom and pop establishments are disappearing in this area. Santa Monica is rapidly evolving into monster buildings all around, just like the rest of LA. This restaurant provides an escape from that, a reminder of the simpler days in Santa Monica. 💕

Been going here for years and it’s gone downhill. Menudo doesn’t have much flavor and the prices are just as much as a sit down restaurant. This is what you get for 40 bucks(5 dollar tacos)

While we’ve lost so many of our beloved businesses in Santa Monica and across the westside, being able to still enjoy Tacos Por Favor makes me feel connected to a community that has dwindled or evolved into yet another capitalist millennial branded hellscape of mid flavors and high ambitions.
Meanwhile, Tacos Por Favor keeps it real and straight to the plate with delicious comfort food and consistency across all 3 locations.

This place used to be great, I just ate there the other day, the food was very average and overpriced. We ordered chorizo and steak tacos, pozole and another soup, nothing I would want to have again.

The atmosphere was really nice and the chips were super tasty. Unfortunately everything else wasn't that great. I got the mahi mahi fish tacos and they were overloaded with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. I had to take out half of the stuff to eat it. The fish was decent but the combination just didn't work well and I did not enjoy it. They also prompt you to tip 20% and then don't offer any service. I would recommend trying other places in the area.
