I am not a fan of Starbucks because the coffee tastes burnt to me, but I love the rich full bodied taste of the many different roasts at the Coffee Bean. Their decaf is equally delicious.
It is a sad fact that I have had to come to grips with, ever since moving to Houston, that Houston has no Coffee Beans. Starbucks is a decent go-to, but they simply do not understand the value of dark chocolate like "The Bean" as my Mom and I call it. Lucky for me, I get to visit southern California on occasion, to hang out with family. This coffee bean location always has a great vibe from the friendly staff to chill music and the awesome firepit. The staff at this location always knows how to makes the drinks just perfectly. There is free parking in the back which is super helpful in Santa Monica. Perfect place to get some work done over great coffee and snacks.
