The Hive Superfood Eats & Organic Cafe - Santa Monica

Don't go here, asked if they had a white or dark chocolate latte. The girl at the counter said no the guy behind her said yes. Ordered 1 dark mocha latte large hot and 1 white chocolate latte large hot. I was the only person there, 10 minutes later I called up for 2 small iced coffees. I said are those iced I ordered hot. The girl got mad that she made them wrong. Same girl that took the order. I then watched her pour those drinks into hot cups straining off the ice and added a little bit of hot coffe to make it appear remade. I get my name called and my coffe slammed down on the counter, coffee shot out the lid, cause they were mad they made the drink wrong. Now that I have lukewarm coffee I walk out to find neither of them are mocha lattes both are some kind of cinnamon chai latte instead. So I end up pay $16 for a 10 Oz cup of lukewarm coffee that wasn't even the flavor I ordered. DO NOT go here save you time and money go 3 blocks down the road to the Coffe Bean instead.

Delicious egg sandwich. Good drip coffee. Wonderful place to crash and work on a laptop.

I usually love this place but they didn’t fully cook the sweet potatoes & even though I sort of noticed they weren’t fully cooked, I still ate my bowl & ended up throwing up all the sweet potato cubes still in form many hours later because of it because my stomach couldn’t digest them. This is a serious issue that should be addressed because if they are consistently undercooking things like sweet potatoes that will get people sick if they eat them… they NEED to stop & make sure they are fully cooked. Also had my friend ask for a tortilla after paying over $50 for a meal for us both & they charge over $2 for one tortilla & did not even try getting it out to us for him to even use it. They refunded me, so that’s good. Also got a little sick right away from accidentally having cinnamon which I have a sensitivity to because they didn’t put under the iced matcha that it had cinnamon. They made me a new one & I know it’s a weird sensitivity but it would be beneficial to mention things like that. Overall, I have always enjoyed eating here, this was my first time ever having bad experiences.

Delicious food, quick service... The kind of meal that feels happy and energizing and good in your tummy. I've been twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both times. Excited to go explore more of the menu.

The BEST Oatmilk - Cappuccino I had during my entire stay in CA! + super friendly stuff + a reasonable price for LA! Highly recommend it.

probs one of the worst açaí bowls i’ve had. my bowl was like 90% açaí. ate all my toppings within like 5 bites. they also gave my bowl in a humongous glass bowl. burrito was also very bland. very unfortunate bcos i had high hopes for this place … cute place inside and the staff was very friendly.

I was looking forward to trying The Hive Cafe, but unfortunately the experience started off on the wrong foot. We arrived just a few minutes before opening and were met by a staff member setting up outside. Instead of a simple, polite explanation that they weren’t open yet, the interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive in tone.

I completely understand that businesses have set hours and need time to prepare, but a courteous response goes a long way. First impressions matter, and this one left us hesitant to return.

A wonderful breakfast, delicious bowls, and an excellent burrito. We enjoyed it. We're from Poznań, but we still spent a lot. The menu didn't include bigos, but that's a minor detail. A solid 5 stars.
