The pastrami here is thick cut, which I believe is a flex because of how tender it is! Pastrami is typically cut super thin to make it easy to chew, but Wexler's pastrami melts in your mouth!Wexler also cure their own fish, and it is absolutely delicious! Unless you absolutely must take away, I highly recommend eating at the restaurant while the food is fresh out of the kitchen. Makes a huge difference!
Did someone say Bagels & Lox? I went to Wexler's at Grand Central Market in Downtown LA. Too hot & humid there. Got in the AIR CONDITIONED train to Santa Monica to eat at their AIR CONDITIONED restaurant. There is also a Wexler's at Aria in Las Vegas. Great smoked salmon, they smoke it themselves, a better than Las Vegas bagel, good potato salad. They're testing a new, for them, pickle, but tasted like a Gherkin. it was my first time here with my husband and friend from out of town and it was the best experience hands down. service was awesome and the two ladies at the front were lovely, then our food…… the best avocado ‘toast’ i’ve ever had. it was called the elaine and i added cream cheese to it 10/10.
