“This restaurant is a gem. We rediscovered it after a long time away. The service is EXCELLENT! The ambiance is wonderful. You can tell the owner cares about his customers and his staff. The food is delicious! We had the meatball appetizer, various pasta dishes with oil and garlic or basil. Also the eggplant and policastro were yummy. Wine list is well thought out and reasonable. “This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Paula (and there are lots of good ones). I visit about three times a year and always drop by Rabalais. Great cajun/creole food. I recommend the breakfast shrimp and grits with a runny fried egg. The red beans and rice with anduille sausage is great. The placeHas a wonderful old-time feel like a bistro from the early 1900s. They have a full bar and great espresso and pastries too.“
