I decided to stop in on a whim and inquired about a la carte meatballs at the food counter. I was met with lukewarm service and initially told they have frozen ones and the cashier gestured to their freezer case. When I said no thanks I didn’t really want frozen she then told me they do sell ready made hot ones which I bought and used to make a meatball sandwich when I got home. Bread heavy sandwiches not worth the price. Staff isn't outgoing, felt like i was at a family joint dealing with the kids that didn't want to work for dad. Great meat selection if buying for home, also wonderful little food things you could make a picnic basket with .
My job takes me through out Nor Cal and So Cal and I find some really good places to eat. I found Santa Fe on a whim. As soon as I walked in , I knew that I was in the right place. The smells hit me like a brick. I had the ham,salami provolone sandwich, amazing. Give me an Italian deli anytime. You won't be disappointed. I'm definitely stopping by next time and telling my coworkers about Santa Fe Importers.
