Michelle's Soul Food Kitchen

Born and raised in California and this is the most authentic soul food I have found since my military days in Georgia and Alabama. Staff is friendly and food is hot and fresh. Red beans and rice and catfish are top notch in my book. Everything on the menu is excellent no matter your preference. The only downside is that I have gained 10 lbs. since finding it. I had a DAY. I being a southern girl I wanted some comfort food, so I went to Michelle’s and let me tell you, 10/10. Prices? Phenomenal. Chicken? Fried to PERFECTION. Seasoned crunchy breading, juicy chicken, great portion. The mac & cheese is bomb, duh! And the candied yams are spiced nicely and butteryyyy. This mother/daughter duo is it folks. Michelle's Soul Food is delicious. Best fried chicken, greens, red beans and rice. I've also enjoyed the sweet yams, truthfully everything I've had there is amazing. Corn bread, yum. It's kinda no frills. Bring your own beverages, butter. The service is Sweet, not a big place on ambience, but I kinda love being back in a Mama's Kitchen. I could eat there all the time. So yummy!
