The Redwood Reviews
Excellent food- great wine and great service 👍
The Redwood serves delicious, reasonably priced food prepared and presented as if introducing you to a good friend. Great wine and non-alcoholic options too. The owners' enthusiasm for creating and sharing nourishing and beautiful food infuses the atmosphere with good vibes. I spent a lovely time with a friend chatting over appetizers and a glass of wine as if I were back in Madrid.
We love the Redwood. It’s a great and unique addition to the Sebastopol good and wine scene.
The pleasant and knowledgeable staff serve a wide variety of natural wines — the most sustainable and also delicious. The food has middle eastern flair, with the freshest seasonal ingredients, especially the salads.
Menu includes meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options. It’s a substantial menu for a wine bar. We are hooked on the roasted chick peas.

The Redwood is a restaurant that offers a diverse menu, featuring dishes with a delicate mix of Mediterranean flavors. The food includes daring combinations that challenge and amaze the palate, such as octopus in squid ink, liver pate, and lamb cheek in polenta. While some reviewers found certain dishes overwhelming or oily, many enjoyed the overall deliciousness of the food. The restaurant also has a cozy atmosphere and decent service, making it a great place to relax and socialize. Guests can enjoy an impressive selection of wines and beers, including a reliable French Crozes-Hermitage from the Rhône valley. The Redwood is seen as a welcome addition to the local community and a top-tier dining destination in the area.
The restaurant is well-priced, and the service is excellent, with warm and friendly staff who are eager to recommend wine pairings. The atmosphere is very nice and well-put-together, making guests feel welcome and comfortable. The menu features delicious options, such as Greek fries and a dark chocolate mousse dessert, which have received high praise. The Redwood is a weekly go-to for many, as the wine list is amazing, and the food is carefully curated by an award-winning chef, with a focus on using the best of what's available locally. The restaurant stands out for its intimate and unassuming vibe, with a truly sincere approach to their offerings.
