La galette is a hidden gem. I’ve lived next door to it for years yet today is my first day trying it. I got the Chicken Honey Mustard sandwich. The bread was SO fresh and the moist rotisserie chicken was perfectly seasoned. They put just enough sauce and cheese it was absolutely delicious. I also got a pierce of baklava which was also so fresh and yummy the perfect nuttiness to sweetness ratio. I have yet to try the pastry but I am confident it will be amazing. I’ll be honest—it’s not Porto’s. Few bakeries in Southern California are. But that’s not really a criticism, because La Galette stands well on its own.
