Excellent Italian bistro type restaurant. The space is limited, but its an excellent restaurant right in the heart of Sierra Madre.
Let me first say that we reside in Tarzana so when our friend who lives in Sherman Oaks told us that they selected a restaurant in Sierra Madre for the four of us to try I thought he was insane. Then I thought we were just going as a novelty as my wife’s name is Bess. Boy was I wrong! Bess is not only a wonderful wife of almost 36 years but Bess is a fabulous restaurant in Sierra Madre. I had a great overall experience at Bess. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they were incredibly accommodating and managed to seat us right away, provided we finished by a certain time for an upcoming booking. It worked out perfectly for us!
The food was very tasty. We ordered the lasagna, steak, pesto orecchiette, mushroom cavatappi, and the Caesar salad. everything was well-prepared and hit the spot.
