Tapo BBQ and Grill is a highly recommended restaurant known for its great barbecue and friendly atmosphere. Customers praise the meats, especially the beef bone, tri-tip, pulled pork, and brisket, which are all smoked to perfection and seasoned with a dry rub. The tri-tip is often highlighted as being cooked to perfection, with sides like baked beans and potato salad receiving high praise for their deliciousness. The pulled pork is outstanding on its own, and the barbecue sauce is described as mild, slightly sweet, and out of this world. Many reviews mention that the meat is smoked with white oak, adding a unique flavor. The restaurant offers generous portions at reasonable prices, making it a great value. Although it's not a sit-down place, the service is friendly, polite, and welcoming, with staff and owners being kind and inviting. Visitors enjoy the professional quality of the food, the tasty salads, and the overall enjoyable experience. Tapo BBQ and Grill is considered a go-to spot for authentic, well-made barbecue in Simi Valley, with many customers planning to return for more.
