Simply put the food is below average. Nothing special which is a shame because I have had some good Ramen in the past from other places and was looking forward to it. The bigger issue is that they were just rude. Would most definitely not recommend this place when there are so many other great places to dine in the area.

I love this place, and it's become a must-visit every time I'm in town. Lots of vegetarian options for me, and you can tell the owners care a lot about what they're serving. The tofu bao is amazing, and seasonal salads always hit. The veg ramen is great too -- ask for their homemade hot sauce.

Gratuity is not asked anymore? 20 % / $13.40 for extra bowl didn’t come back to check on us or water refill.
I love the food. Service is good, just ask next time please or inform us. If I didn’t asked for receipt I wouldn't know.
Edit: response : nope the cashier didn't say anything or inform any of us.

We had the best lunch today at Ramen Katori. We come here often and are never disappointed. The Bao buns are a must to try… today I tried the A-5 Wagyu Ramen special, wow! it was SO delicious, the Wagyu was melt in my mouth, so good, best I have ever had. Great people there as well, Junior and the whole staff are awesome.

Wow, I never would've thought that some of the best ramen I've ever had would be in Solvang, a place known more for its Danish roots and cuisine! I got the Jiro Ramen, which is a special bowl that isn't available all the time. The broth was a rich garlicky and savory miso that was so good, I drank every last drop. The noodles were thicker than usual for this bowl, and they were cooked perfectly, with nice chewiness and springiness. It came with 4 pieces of tender chashu pork that seemed to be seared in a way that gave them an amazing toasty crust. There was also a generous amount of cabbage and bean sprouts. I paired this with a lemon soju drink that was huge -- the size of a tumbler of lemonade. This was also delicious, with a taste reminiscent of an Orange Julius or Creamsicle bar.
My wife got a vegetarian miso ramen, which she also really enjoyed.
The place is pretty small, and I've read that when it gets crowded, wait times can be long (but fortunately we got there a little early and were able to get a table without a problem). Staff are all very friendly and helpful. If you're visiting Solvang, take a break from all the Danish fare and give this place a try, you won't regret it!

Ramen in a Danish town? Trust us, you’ve got to try! The Tonkotsu was spot on! The pork was a large portion, a little more fat than I’m used to but the broth made up for it. Noodles were great and the beer tasted fresh. Lots of locals come here, so you know it’s legit. It’s LA prices, but that’s ok. 4.5 out of 5 for me!

Great ramen in Solvang. Honestly, it was one of the few good spots where we can get delicious meal in this touristy area. However, during the holiday season, the wait time was insane. We waited around 1 hour and a half, can be more than that but we lost track of time. Recommend you join their waitlist first and then start the sightseeing after. We did the same after we saw their waitlist.
We ordered one Gyoza, 2 shoyu ramen and 2 spicy tan tan ramen, and one kid ramen. The food was really worth the wait. Warm tasty broth soothed the stomach during winter time. Extremely flavorful ramen. The gyoza can be a bit mediocre though.
