Based on the reviews, Solvang Trolley Ice Cream Parlor is a quick spot in the middle of all the pretty stores. The ice cream is fantastic, rich, and flavorful, clearly made with care. It is a new favorite for many, with classics like chocolate, vanilla, and caramel always being nice. The chocolate chocolate chocolate is a standout. The staff are always clean, smiling, and warm. The atmosphere has that throwback ice cream shop charm, bright, friendly, and a little nostalgic. Whatever flavor you try, it must be eaten in an ice cream sundae with 3 scoops, fudge, and a hot topping for a good price. The long line convinced some they were in the right place. However, the coffee flavor wasn’t good, and the cups need to be stronger as one leaked onto clothes. The Belgian waffle sandwich was a little mediocre. Some felt the flavors could be more creative and the menu more accommodating, as there were no options for less sugar, no dairy, or fewer calories. It gets a solid 4 stars.
