“This place is magical - if you like fresh spices and specialty teas. It is really extraordinary. The scent in the store alone is worth wandering in. I have been twice - the first purchase were so good (and sizeable) I decided that I would start trading in most of my spices out for these over time. I don't think you can go wrong with these. Just a phenomenal find.“
“We had a wonderful relaxing 2 for 1 winetasting experience. The wines were good, the cheese plate was EXCELLENT, the spinach and cheese croissant was EXCELLENT, and Anna was very nice with good service. We came to Arrowsmith at the recommendation of the front desk of our hotel. It was only a five minute walk so we headed over around 4 PM on a Saturday of a three-day weekend. The decor is very nice, sort of roaring 20s French art. Nice tables, nice seating areas with leather chairs, nice bar. We had a 2 for 1 wine tasting special, a croissant and the cheeseboard. Our bill was around $66 and change and would've been in the $90s without the special. It was a good bargain and we still would've been happy at full price. We didn't wind up buying any of the wines to go, but we would definitely come here again and maybe stay later for the live music. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 :-)“
“Cute bakery and the name says it all! So many Danish baked goods sold here among the more familiar fair. They also had spectacular cookie houses. I'd call them gingerbread houses but not sure if they're all made out of gingerbread. It's a tiny bakery and a tight squeeze making your way through but manageable and worth it. They also have gifts and trinkets. Staff is sweet and helpful. Would definitely recommend.“
“BEST KEPT SECRET in the Santa Ynez Valley! Literally the VERY BEST baked goods I've ever had in my life! Great prices. Unique, sweet location and just downright AMAZING! People say "awesome" too often where it isn't necessarily true. At Holy Grounds, you're going to find the most "AWESOME" fresh baked pastries you've EVER had, and that's a fact!!! Unbelievable GEM!!!!“
“Excellent food, and a fantastic staff! The restaurant has very positive energy. A special thanks to servers Shannon and Arturo for being especially helpful and knowledgeable in their recommendations. I'm about to enjoy some of my dinner leftovers for lunch.“
“Have a little ice cream romance here. Fine ice cream since the late 1940s. Old tradition. Always very welcoming. Gift stores nearby. Must have this ice cream when visiting Solvang, CA. Excellent customer service. Popular and tourist stop. Everyone loves them. Yes, credit cards accepted. Around $6 for a single scoop cone these days. Pay more for more scoops. No public restrooms onsite at this shop. Order onsite while waiting in line. Beautiful cute spot with good views for taking photos of your ice cream. Come on a sunny day or the photos you take on cloudy gray sky days may turn out less ideal. My hands and mouth were focused more on eating ice cream, so I almost forgot to take photos of it. Ice cream represents freedom and happiness at any age and time. It's always the moment of enjoyment that counts. Delicious and as good and enjoyable as it looks. The place has been here forever. It's a landmark of Solvang. I always come back for traditional chocolate chip, strawberry, or chocolate ice cream flavors. Wide selections to choose from. Pick what you like. Families and friends will love. They never disappoint. It's all part of the experience. Get 10% off if you have trolley ticket for discount. If you're itching for ice cream in town, definitely stop by while you're here. Worth every lick and bite.“
“Amber has a great establishment, with everything one would want from a coffee house; tasty and fresh things to eat and drink, cozy feels, and welcoming. Thanks for making our weekly visits one I love telling others about. You do a great job!“
“Cute danish bakery with tons of pastry options. The workers were very friendly! I ordered a cinnamon crisp and didn’t love how dry it was. I’m sure their other pastries were better. Worth stopping in and enjoying a pastry at their outdoor seating!“
“Olsen's Danish Village Bakery is always crowded and busy. It's more traditional over there. Olsen's displays and choices are excellent. The popular Solvang Bakery down a few doors is always where tourists take lots of photos of the interior. It's their Easter egg colors which attracts many moms and children. Birkholm's Solvang Danish Bakery has lesser foot traffic and it's not all fancy , but it certainly has everything you want like the rest of them. It has more spaces to walk around inside. You can actually sit inside to enjoy your goodies. I always buy Danish butter cookies to take home prior to departing. All of them are very good bakeries worth checking out and buying delicious goodies from. For around $20 a bin or buy 3 for much under $60, it's really not too bad at Birkholm's. They all have similar offerings and delicious selections, more or less. Macarons, marzipans, candies, puffy tarts, danishes filled with fruit jams, cookies, etc. Order a beverage or two. It really depends on the type of customer you are and if you're buying items to go or just enjoying them inside the bakeries. I absolutely love butter cookies from Solvang. They are made fresh and each bakery is unique in their own ingredients and baking methods. Creative pastry stops. You can always share with families and friends. Definitely grab some goodies before hitting the roads again.“
“First time coming here. Got their Princess cake and it was tasty and flavorful. It was white cake with raspberry filling and cream and wrapped in marzipan frosting. Very airy and light tasting although heavy on the marzipan flavor. Cost was $6.95. Small indoor seating available.“
“This was such a cute cafe in solvang.I cannot comment much about food but the environment was so good. It has a cute outdoor seating which is very picturesque. I am very sure the food is very tasty too. It was beautiful. My Instagram id is - nusky21 if you all want to see more photos“
“We decided to stop at Café Dolce on a Tuesday afternoon because it was one of the few places open and were pleasantly surprised. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups, and the breakfast menu looked pretty good too. The sandwiches are a perfect size to eat with lots of great ingredients but not too full, which sometimes I feel like Panino (their neighbors) sandwiches are so packed they're difficult to eat, especially when wine tasting. There's a few covered tables outside (dog friendly) and some booths inside, with lots of fun pictures to look at of famous people who have visited. There's an assortment of baklava behind the counter and to top it off they serve McConnell's ice cream which you can't pass up on!“
“My favorite coffee or tea place when in Solvang. I always visit the Boutique and plan to sit down and relax. The service is amazing, soothing and professionally friendly.Their coffee and tea menu are worth trying every single one, to then come back to your favorite. They have Herbal tea options for the days I avoid caffeine. I truly love it.I hope your experience is as amazing and/or better than mine. One last note, there isn’t a lot of food items for my lactose restrictions but they few they have are good but not good enough for me to buy it again since I needed a lot of coffee and water to try to balance the strong flavor.I’ll update once I revisit the Boutique and take a picture of the item with the name.Dietary restrictions: Lactose allergy alternatives.“
