Guests can enjoy drinks like the excellent London fog with a splash of maple syrup and the delicious pumpkin loaf. This lovely space is full of tasty pastries and amazing coffee. They offer a solid cup of drip with more than the usual fixings to choose from. The Apple Pop Tart is a must-have. Smastad is the best coffee shop in Sonoma, better than the chains, with plenty of parking. They are a Swedish style coffee shop with some pastries and candies. Smastad Bakery Cafe on Broadway in Sonoma is a welcome addition. Customers should get there early to catch all the best goodies. The Swedish version of shortbread called Vaniljkakor is thick, buttery, and has a dab of raspberry jam in the middle. Smastad’s version is the real thing and yummy. When customers go back, they want to try the savory pastries like the smörgastarta, and their own fresh house roasted coffee. There’s plenty of seating in the back, a nice little picnic like area. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have lots of items fresh out of the oven.
