“If I could give this restaurant a 7/5 I would. This is probably one of my favorite. I ordered the lobster and steak with noodles and it's so yummy!!! Lobster cooked to perfection. Most places I've been to overcook the lobster. Highly recommend!!!“

“Been hearing about this place and finally had a chance to go. Restaurant: Inside, the place is clean and welcoming. Plenty of seating inside to enjoy your food. Could have a group in there if you push the tables together. Experience: Came in right before closing and I was the only one inside. They took my order and I waited for maybe 10-15 minutes for them to make my food. I really appreciated that it was made to order. Food: Got the New York steak and chicken combo with yum yum sauce and garlic butter. Fantastic quality for everything on the plate. Having the two sauce options gave me plenty of variety. Veggies and steak were cooked to perfection. The fried rice upgrade was worth the money I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted teppanyaki. Quality service, quality food and fast. I'll be coming back!“

“I have always enjoyed going to Pepper Lunch before the pandemic. However, I haven't been back since. I decided to visit again with my friend before Christmas because apparently, many restaurants were closed on Tuesdays.I was pleased to see that you no longer have to order from the machine. Instead, you can order at the cashier and pay there. They have also added some udon dishes to the menu. Although tempting, I stuck with the two meats with curry sauce. I had never tried that before, as I almost ordered the classic beef pepper rice. My friend ordered the tofu and veggie rice.With the Yelp check-in, one could get a free size. I opted for the seaweed salad as I wanted something healthy. My friend chose the sweet potato rice, and we planned to share the sides.My mixed two-meat curry rice was excellent. I enjoyed the sizzling presentation in front of me, and the smell of the curry was heavenly. The seaweed salad added some greens to my meal, although it's nothing special. The sweet potato fries were not particularly crispy, as they were kind of thick.Towards the end of the meal, we discovered they had some new drinks for people to try, displayed on a separate table along the wall. We were welcome to try them and provide feedback. Excited, we sampled four flavors, including some mixed fruit ones. They were all pretty good, and we left them our honest reviews on the notes provided.Overall, Pepper Lunch remains one of my favorite restaurants in Alhambra. Next time, I definitely want to try the udon dishes.“

“This place is getting more and more expensive. But you can't beat the taste of food here. 6 people, $350 with tip. But again, I just love the food. The service for drinks got behind a little and I had to ask for more rather than be asked .... But, did I mention how good the food is here? They also don't put on the show as well as they did 20 years back, but we like to come here at least twice a year for birthdays.... Everything is great here, steaks, shrimp, fish, chicken, everything!“

“At the moment you come to that restaurant the personel give you a great feeling. Very congenial team, it is a happy place to to go out with friends or with your date. very good cooking, specialist chief cook and stuff, comfortable cost and generous service. Highly recommended.“

“My coworker and I ordered the filet hibachi, and it was incredibly tender and delicious. The rest of the food was great too—the meal came with vegetables, a few shrimp, white rice, and I purchased a side of udon noodles and upgraded to the fried rice. I would recommend coming here if you're itching for some hibachi, and all of the food I ordered was fantastic. Overall, my experience was on par with what I'd expect from a typical hibachi restaurant. The filet was even better than expected. I would note that the chef was nice and did the stereotypical tricks, but was a bit uninspired (may have been due to the fact that only 4 of us were at the table, and 2 of the customers were not paying much attention). The prices are a bit steep, but the filet is worth it. My coworkers had suggested the filet, and now I know why!“

“This dinner was spectacular. The chef put on a great show for us and it tasted amazing. The speed of everything was really good as well. It didn't take too long for any part of the service to happen so it moved along at a great pace. Thanks very much and will definitely go back again!“

“"I love the space in between tables it gives you a more relaxed open space feel . I definitely would return to try more dishes. The onion soup was amazing, and the lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved grilled vegetables and fried rice. Service was great!“
