This coffee shop is excellent! If you’re visiting LA by RV, car, or plane, give Kafana a visit. It's located in the perfect spot in quiet little South Pasadena, right above LA and before Pasadena. The shop is right next to a great woodland area called the Arroyo Seco Parkway, so you can take a nice nature hike.

It's also located inside a gym, so you can work, work out, and hang out all at the same time! Both the staff and the customers are very nice, and the vibe is excellent. You can hang out and get tons of work done in the nice, laid-back atmosphere. The decor is spot-on with nice brick and wood elements, and character furniture pieces make you feel right at home. You might even forget you aren't at home!

Open late until 10 p.m., you can relax and enjoy the great window views. With an assortment of workspaces and tables, you can find just the right spot to get inspired. Check it out! Highly recommended by the Urban Nomads team.“

“Me and my kid have been regulars buying a smoothie (split in 2 cups) for lunch for the last few weeks. The staff here are fantastic! My kid is super in to Jamba and the staff does a great job with my kid. I can't say enough good things about them and the quality of food we get here.“

I’ve tried açaí bowls from plenty of other spots, but this has been my #1 for a while. They are delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is great too and I like ordering makes it easy to get.“

“My friend and I went there just by accident and it was really good. They didn't have the coffee my friend likes, but they made it just for her and she said it was different but really good. “Healthy healthy... HEALTHY! If this fatty can indulge here, so can you. This is probably the healthiest food and drink shop in a 20 mile radius. The fresh fruit smoothies are amazing and sandwiches to die for. I'm always stuck with... Should I get Chinese? May be a burger? Tacos sound good too... But when this spot comes on my radar, it ends up in top of my list.

2022: First time here. Just had the most delicious watermelon smoothie! The little bits of mint blended into it make it so delectable... wish I had a gallon of this stuff! There is some pineapple sherbet in there too apparently but not overpowering. Just slushy watermelon mint refreshingness. What a fantastic drink! (Need rum 🙂)“
