The things going for Darby Dan's are no line, fast service, full kitchen and beers on tap. We had a couple of sandwiches. Darby Dan sandwich $15 and a roast beef w/Swiss $13.50. They had a full kitchen on the right. It wasn't on the menu but they made some chili cheese fries for me. They even had Mango Cart beer on tap. I had a pint. I'm not sure how much it cost because they don't give me a receipt. Regardless, everything tasted OK.

Sad this place fell off so hard. Been coming here for almost 30 years. Got a sandwich here yesterday and the bread to meat ratio was like 90/10 (sandwich was all bread). I won’t be back.
Great sandwiches, fun menu. An institution.

Weird experience.
Walked in and was met by two employees just standing at the counter, staring without greeting. When they finally helped, their attitude was terrible and made ordering a simple sandwich for my son feel awkward.
My wife and I were planning to order too, but we decided against it after that experience. The sandwich itself was decent, but the customer service was unwelcoming and left a bad impression.

Best place to get one sandwich for two people. Custom made fresh at the deli or at the kitchen enjoy hot sandwich, Hamburgers or a simple salad, sodas, beer, & Draft beer available. Just be sure & bring a good appetite or you will be walking out with leftovers. The kitchen is open M-F till 2pm. The deli is open M-S till 3? There are tables to sit & enjoy the food & watch a game on tv. Darby Dan's is wheelchair accessible. There is free parking lot or street parking.

I had a pastrami on dutch crunch bread and provolone cheese. All their sandwiches are great and I really like their garlic mayo. The also have an area that makes burgers, fries, onion rings, things of that nature. They also have good assortment of chips and drinks. great place for lunch

One of my go to sandwich spots and they have the best salads. Everyone is super friendly and the place is always clean.
Love this place...sandwiches have been the same for years and years...so awesome to see them still around.
Sandwich and chips was so much I couldn't even finish it. A little confused and mixed up trying to order when busy. I would eat here again.

I have been going to Darby Dans since it first opened in the 70's. The place had a small counter and a few women working there. No longer live in California. Plus , moved out of the bay area years ago. I have been there at least one time a year since they opened.

The sandwiches were very good, but what really caught my eye was that the customer service was excellent. This building may be old, but the owners keep it nice and clean.! I definitely recommend stopping by and having a sandwich here.
