“Nina's is the perfect little community café. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is quaint and welcoming. I have only experienced the utmost professionalism and friendly energy. Nina and her staff are not here just to serve, but share their heart and culture through food. I'm proud to have them and their establishment as a part of our community!“

“I just visited the one on polk and the coffee is delicious.. the establishment was very clean and has beautiful paint that's relaxing to the eyes. There large selection of empanadas and friendly employees is something nice for a change in the neighborhood. I got caught up talking to a customer about the bathhouse on eddy as I was adding to my coffee 3.50. Unbeknownst to me it was the owner and cute too lol.. will definitely be my goto morning coffee shop now.. thanks for being here for us :)“

“It can’t be understated, the food (and coffee) here are phenomenal. It’s like I was transported back to my childhood with my mother’s cooking. Nothing is dry, everything is delicious, and service is amazing. The owners and staff are very attentive, quick, and open to chatting. Can’t beat the service nor quality of food , especially for the affordable price. This is a must visit spot!!! Highly recommend the vanilla cold brew…I had two.“

“This place is pure Guatemalan awesomeness! It's just as good if not better than the original. The pan francés And pan dulce are on point, and the breakfast is amazing. If you love Guatemalan and Central American style breakfast this is the place for you. I have to warn you though, parking and seating is tough on the weekends. So be ready to park a few blocks away, and hunt for a good table once you get there.“

“This place is sooo good for empanadas and arepas!
We got the birria arepa and the banh mi arepa, a cheesy bread, passionfruit juice and chicken empanadas.
Arepas were pretty filling, we had chicken empanadas for later and those were so good also! I love the flaky crust and the filling wasn't dry at all.
Will definitely be back- all the flavors were delicious!
Heads up that this place is more of a takeaway situation- there's no seating inside. Some small cafe tables are available outside on the sidewalk.“

“Tasty hot empanadas—especially the mushroom one, which hit the spot on a windy SF day. The outdoor seating is dog-friendly and cozy, with heaters and a fire pit for warmth. They also have an interesting beer selection and super friendly staff.“
“This little gem is located inside Ferry Building Marketplace. It’s is one of the few places open early in the morning to get food. The woman working was friendly. We had no wait. I ate the Fugazzeta Empanada… it literally melted in my mouth. It was the best empanada I have ever had. The price seemed high for just one, but the taste made it worth it!“

“Go early if you want their specials of the day. We arrived around 3pm and just missed out on their Apple empanadas. I love their beef, chicken or sweet potato empanadas as well as their pastries.“
