“They make the best goodies in town. You have to try the scones! Especially the blueberry ones! My kids love going their to get their weekly treat for doing all their work at school. My daughter always picks a cupcake and a cookie. My son always gets a cherry turnover (I believe that’s what they’re called) and a cookie as well. Go check them out. They even make specialty cakes and cupcakes!“

“Looked for a place to stop by for lunch while on jury duty since I’ve never really eaten downtown before. This neat little place was only like a 3 minute walk from the courthouse.
Vietnamese Sandwich (Banh Mi):
Definitely worth a try if you’ve never had banh mi.
The bread was nice and crunchy on the outside but still super soft and fluffy on the inside and easy to chew. I had the chicken and pork chop to try both. Pork chop was pretty good, tender, a bit chewy, decent vietnamese marinaded pork flavor. There was no daikon which is disappointing for me. I also did not like the thickness of the cucumber, a bit overpowering. The mayo they used tastes like regular hellman’s or something. Otherwise decent quality and fresh tasting for about $7 each plus tax. I did not really care for the chicken because it didn’t have a lot of flavor. The amount of meat ratio and quality for the price for both is so-so, especially compared to bigger names like Huong Lan but I know this isn’t their focus. I would come again though because it’s so convenient at the courthouse. Even at these prices a banh mi is so worth it and filling for a lunch.
Thai Iced Tea:
CRAZY sweet. Probably the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. I would ask for half sugar, if possible, for a normal sane person. Other than that, crazy good value at $3.50.
Everything Bagel:
This was really lackluster and a bit tough for me, but I’m aware I’m getting a bagel at noon, meaning it may have been sitting there since the early morning. It had a flavor like it absorbed the aromas of the shop from sitting out a while. I also had it plain to taste it for a good grasp of the quality of bagel. $2“
“I’ve been here twice. The pork tamales are super delicious, moist, and packed with flavor and meat. I love their pastries especially the pan dulce, sugar coated donut is super fluffy like a cloud, and personally I think their churros are better than the overhyped ones at Disney Land. Super friendly staff and many pastries to select from. They also sell ingredients for dishes to make at home and chicharrones. I read other comments saying that the chile verde and the chicharron burritos are good, so I hope to try those soon. Thank you for your tasty and well-priced foods.“
“This is a must-have everytime I'm in Stockton. The best buns! My family and I always get the baked buns! I love the BBQ Pork but I try to experiment sometimes! I've been hooked on their buns ever since I first went. It was love at first bite!“

“I have been going to this great place from about 1987-2007 along with my mom to get this delicious food and I miss it so much since I've moved out of Stockton. It's my number 1 spot to go to when I'm in town. Thank you for all the years of delicious steam buns and feeding my family.“

“My entire life, is how long I have eaten bread, pasta, pastries, cheese, meat, olives, fish, olive oil, and polenta, from this place. It’s the best bakery that has ever existed in this country. Yes. I am biased. My great grandparents knew the old man…Angelo. If you lived in the city you walked to get your bread. If you lived out in the country, (like my great grandfather), you rode a horse and tied it to the posts along the sidewalk, that still stand today. Funny how you never “not” know certain things. Most Italian Americans in this valley know what I mean. I go once a week for groceries when my auntie and uncle need biscotti or bread, or cheese, or meat. Three times a year my uncle loads up on salami that is so good it makes angels hungry! The panettone is a staple for my family during the holidays, and I have never lived in a home without the familiar Genova Bakery Calendar hanging in my kitchen, and one in my garage. Always. It’s just how it is. I lived in San Diego for about 10 years and I brought bread there with me whenever I came home. My cousin brings crusty bread, and focaccia back to Oklahoma when she comes home. I eat a fresh sandwich from there once a week. The service has always been great. There’s no other place like it in the world. If bread is life, I’m living pretty good! And yes I wear these awesome t-shirts all the time.“

“I can't say good enough things about this place aside from being filipino owned. i love the ambiance of this rustic yet true coffee shop vibe that it brings. Most of their food on the menu is amazing, well, balanced, and just enough portions to hold you over. What really sets this establishment apart is the owner and stuff always so kind , always so accommodating. The silvanas dessert is a must-have (Ube, pistachio). It is so satisfying as well as delightful! Trust me, your pallette will thank you for it later!. It's super close to UOP, so expect it to have that college bound vibe school will be in session SOON, so heavier than usual traffic should be inevitable. You've been schooled
Support your local business ... it's what makes the economy thrive. ?
Parking: The parking is quite decent. i suggest parking at the grocery store across the street if you're just stopping by , but dining in would be challenging due to limited space for parking infrastructure of the establishment. This will depend on the time of day.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is Ada wheen chair ramp to get up to the counter.“

“A wonderful place. Great food. I can't believe I never went here earlier. I've been passing by it for years. Great cookies, good sandwiches a hole in the wall place, independently owned, non corporate. I'll be back again. No complaints ?“
“Went to the Fruit Bowl for the very first time today. We had lunch first at their Bake Shop. It was nice and air conditioned! They make wonderful sandwiches! Spent lots on cherries, apricots, cherry pie, pumpkin bread, marble rye bread, whiskey pepper steak sauce, cherry pepper sauce, pickled beets and better than brittle candy. The place was clean. They had really cute shopping baskets. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Will be back there again. Highly recommend to all!!“

“Well from my experience. The sweet Ube bread was awesome, loved the puto my husband is philipino so I try to find places that sale the food because I only know how to make chicken adobo. And the sweets take love and time to make so I'm happy I found this place. Now I didn't see anything bad when I went so personally my experience was a good one. Then yeah I wasn't really talked to. But honestly each person is going to judge how ever they won't but my views. Well the lady wasn't rude honestly she made knowledge that I was there. There wasn't anything talk about because some times people need to be considerate that not everyone knows English that well so don't always judge a book buy its cover. I'm writing this because I feel like some of the personal attacks towards the staff is very mean. They are hard working people make a living so go support the little guy out there you'll get more authentic home made food ?. She smiled at me when I said my husband is philipino. She then said to me, " oh you cook the food?" I said,"only chicken adobo" we made conversation. So what I'm trying to say is if you go in some where with a salty attitude your going to get salty attitude back. Do on to others as you would do on to yourself“

“I recommend Boundin over Panera. Everything tastes better at Boundin. Has a wide menu offering, and all items are fresh.
Boudin's breads are wonderful. One of our favorite breads besides the sourdough is the multigrain. It makes the best sandwiches.“
“The best meat market in the 209. I love how the the butchers will cut up all my carne asada for me and it’s so easy when I get home to throw it on the blackstone. The owners are so friendly and give me free samples to try from their hot food. I drive 30 miles to go here. You won’t regret it.“

“I love this place. I go every week and get some of my favorite filipino snacks. The pinoy coffee is so good. I like to get the spicy shrimp, lobster, or fish balls, and they are all great. The dining area is kind of small, but it is more of a store than a restaurant (I think), so it makes sense.“

“I was headed for Krispy Kreme donuts or one of their yummy glazed donuts but didn't want to drive that far. Just happened to see this little hole in the wall and decided to try it out. Donut tasted fluffy and fresh and as good as Krispy Kreme but they were fluffier. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and welcoming. It's sad that it's so tucked away in the back.
I love supporting the local family businesses and will definitely be back!“
