Genova Bakery Reviews
The best sandwich in town
Genova Bakery has a wide array of fresh meat choices and bread‼️Their store has a bunch of other goodies, from wine to cooking sauces, but I came for a sandwich‼️ We left out of there with five completely different sandwiches that were 🔥🔥🔥 and made with LOVE 💚‼️The environment is family oriented and I recommend this place to EVERYONE‼️
My entire life, is how long I have eaten bread, pasta, pastries, cheese, meat, olives, fish, olive oil, and polenta, from this place. It’s the best bakery that has ever existed in this country.
Yes. I am biased.
My great grandparents knew the old man…Angelo. If you lived in the city you walked to get your bread. If you lived out in the country, (like my great grandfather), you rode a horse and tied it to the posts along the sidewalk, that still stand today.

Genova Bakery has been a Stockton institution since the early 1920s and is a family-owned business known for making the very best bread in this part of California. The bakery offers a traditional deli experience with rich and flavorful meats, cheeses, and bread. Customers praise their legendary baked goods, including Focaccia, Baguettes, and large loaf French bread, which have made the bakery a must-visit for fresh, top-quality deli sandwiches. The old-time atmosphere adds charm to the personalized and extremely attentive service, making each visit special. Visitors often enjoy the vintage shop experience and are encouraged to say hello to owner Tim. The bakery is especially busy at lunch, so patience is advised, or customers can place a pickup order for convenience. The friendly staff recommend delicious combinations like smoked pepper turkey with jalapeno cheddar cheese on dutch crunch, and many customers have been coming since the 70s, appreciating the fantastic sandwiches and baked goods from one of the valley’s oldest eateries.
