I met a friend here for a late afternoon coffee, and it turned out to be a really relaxing place to hang out. The drinks tasted fresh, and the pastry I ordered paired well with my latte. The staff checked on us just enough without being overbearing, which I appreciated. It did get a little noisy once more people came in, but the atmosphere still felt welcoming. Prices seemed fair for the quality, and everything arrived pretty quickly. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area...read full review
This is a place Anthony Bourdain would have loved. It’s attached to a bowling alley, which is wild, but that’s another thing that makes it unique. you can get delicious sushi, a good burger or a Japanese American fusion brunch on the weekends! Plus there’s milk tea! You will be pleasantly surprised.
I come quite often and always have a great experience and the servers are very friendly. My favorites are the chicken karage, beef teriyaki, and tempura. They give such a big portion of tempura that is unmatched by any other Japanese restaurant. Definitely worth it!

Jimmie’s Place Cafe | Sushi and Tea Bar is a truly unique spot attached to a bowling alley in Stockton, CA, with a restaurant that overlooks the bowling lanes. The staff is mainly Latino, but the owner, Jimmy, is Japanese—that’s Stockton for you. The menu is extensive, including boba tea, milk tea, and sushi, plus a Japanese American fusion brunch on weekends. Sushi made by Latinos sounds different, but it’s pretty good, and the prices are pretty decent. The open at 8 am for breakfast, thru lunch, with a very extensive breakfast menu; their pancakes are very tasty and made to order. Visitors come quite often and always have a great experience, with friendly servers. Favorites include the chicken karage, beef teriyaki, and tempura, with a big portion of tempura unmatched by any other Japanese restaurant. It’s a clean place with good people working here, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
