“Today I discovered the curry shrimp. It was awesome! It might be my new favorite! My husband enjoyed the Curry Goat. We also got some patties for later. We had enough on our plates to have leftovers! That means we will get to enjoy our food again.“

The owner was really cool and welcoming, which made the experience even better. On top of that, the restaurant itself is a whole vibe with great energy, great atmosphere, and great food. “Yo!, I never took L.A. for the Jamaican food scene. Being a Floridian and visiting the Caribbean, I didn't expect to find an awesome Jamaican food spot during my visit to L.A. After dining at Wah Gwaan, I had to tell management that they would be a spot to contend with back in Florida for Jamaican food. The jerk chicken was awesome and the wife had the oxtails and they were so tender. I recommend this spot to locals, tourists, or anyone that is in the area. When I'm back on the west coast, I'm looking Wah Gwaan Jamaican Kitchen & Bar up again for a delicious meal that reminds me of being back in the tropical south.“

“I took my gf here to celebrate life, a dinner experience. We were greeted warmly by our waitress, escorted to our seats, and seated promptly. the vibe was incredible! the restaurant is a hidden gem in DTLA. It is tucked away, and the staff was on point. the food was so fresh and tasty and the drinks were perfect. she loved it! we will visit again soon!“
