A light cream light sweet Philtered Soul for a weekday afternoon pick me up? Yes! The drink was the perfect amount of sweet and bold and hot enough to double-cup to keep your hands warm on cold day. Parking here is plentiful, with meters closeby. If you don't mind the walk across the street or from the residential streets, though, then it's free! Philz (and my mother-in-law) have taught me that pour-over coffee (look it up) is one of the best (and easiest!) brewing methods for consistently great coffee. Fortunately Philz sells some of the best beans around, roasted fresh and (somewhat) locally (Oakland, CA), making it easy to make great coffee at home.
