“I want to give a big shout-out to Christina at Paros Family Restaurant! As soon as I walked in, she greeted me warmly and immediately offered to help with any questions I had about the menu. She took the time to explain the differences between the various menu items, making sure I understood all my options.

Customer service like this is truly a breath of fresh air. Honestly, I haven’t even gotten my food yet (though I’m sure it will be exceptional!), but I had to give Christina her flowers right away. In this day and age, we’re often quick to criticize but too quiet when we receive great service — and Christina absolutely deserves to be recognized for the care and attention she gives to customers. Well done!“

“Has a lot of potential. The sandwich ingredients are great, overall concept is better than other places. The taste is mostly there but overpowered by the unnecessarily massive amounts of sauce that squirts out and drips everywhere when you have a bite. Maybe they were going for juicy but it was too much. I used about five napkins cleaning up.

Opinions differ on how much sauce is good but I'd say the vast majority of people would agree. The owner should test his own food and come up with a slightly different ratio of sauce.

I will still go back and try something else but I'll make sure to request slightly less sauce.“

I love this place and have not had a bad meal yet. Its amazing that this place is never busy or packed especially since its on the smaller size, though there is outdoor seating on the side.“

“Absolutely love this place! My boyfriend and I live in the area and we love being able to walk to places in our neighborhood. This is definitely a new favorite spot! I rarely write reviews but I had to share my great experience to support this business. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff is very kind.
We ordered the Rainbow and the Spicy Yellowtail rolls for pick up orders through their online website, had a lovely sunset walk during Golden Hour to and from there, and the service was timely and efficient. When we got back home the food was packaged and presented beautifully and it kept well. We thoroughly enjoyed this whole experience and will be happy to order again soon! We look forward to dining in person there as well. Definitely find out for yourself and enjoy this awesome little gem!

“Was thrilled to find a place with so many vegan and vegetarian options for a bunch of new food I've never tried before! We asked for some recommendations and the ladies explained what each dish was and offered samples. In the end, we went with the Armenian potato salad, mujadara, itch / eech, and lahmajun - all were tasty, but the eech was my favorite. Looking forward to trying more!“

“Cute little chain-type spot that offers lots of fresh, clean, healthy food. Has soup and salad that tasted like we made it at home. No weird fillers or packaged flavours. Was just what we needed after a sudden airline cancellation and chilly weather. Clean spot with big enough tables to work or bring a little game (like we did). Sweet employees. “When I tell you this place is incredible… on every point! Food amazing, atmosphere is such a vibe, service and staff are so welcoming and accommodating and QUICK!

We ordered the following for 3 people and were stuffed and had plenty of leftovers:

- chips and trio of salsa: I am still mind blown about the variety of salsas, the flavor complexity, the range of spice and ingredients in each. 10/10

- squash blossoms (forgot to take picture): so delightful, stuffed with a cheese mixture and the perfect consistency and crunch on the fried blossom. 10/10

- 3 mole plate: loved trying the different mole options, my palate is not quite as seasoned when it comes to mole so I favored the “traditional” sweeter brown mole. Would just get this one next time (forgot what they called it) 8.7/10

- carne asada plate: an assortment of Oaxacan cheese, grilled cactus, beans, mole enchilada, and the most tender, flavorful and juicy steak. Just wow 10/10

Churros: omg…. Just omg. Melt in your mouth churros, most DELECTABLE Mexican dark chocolate to dip them in… I dream about these 10/10

This is now our go-to Mexican spot. Such an elevated take on our traditional Mexican food outings. Prices were very fair especially for the quality and ambiance of this places picking up a to-go order as we speak.

It’s worth noting that we went with our friend who was born in Mexico City and has had the best of the best Oaxacan food and she was floored by this place!“

“What a Great Find! First time there and Junior took time to explain the whole menu to us. He also prepared the Delicious meal! “My first time here. The salad was great. I don't like the fact that I felt like my salad was thrown at me and I also received the wrong order. There were 2 Rebeccas. But again, the salad was delicious and it was a nice portion. I can compare Chop Stop to Simply Salad; they just don't have the ingredients at the front counter and they are more affordable than simply salad. I spent 22.00 here. At SS I ways spent 32.00+ With that being said, I will definitely go back on a regular basis.

“I went with a large group and I think everyone but me like their entrées way better than I did. I really think maybe I just made a wrong taste choice. I went for a mushroom ravioli with a cream sauce. I have to say the service was excellent. It’s a cute little restaurant. You probably wanna make a reservation if you’re going there, the bread is incredible. It’s so so yummy. I did enjoy the appetizers. I was not impressed though by the Caesar salad I was with five other people and they all loved their trace. I think I just made a poor choice. I would recommend it and even for a romantic night or dinner.“

“We were in town from Palm Springs for the day and went to Little Goat after finding it online. One of the best spur of the moment stops ever - we absolutely loved the pizza and the service was phenomenal, super sweet server. We ordered two pizzas - margarita and the chef’s special apple/walnut/kale/caramelized onion/goat cheese. They were both amazing! We eat a lot of pizza and definitely have a new top favorite. Outdoor seating has both stellar views and people watching; there is a cute patisserie down the street that’s an amazing desert stop for the perfect date night; we will definitely stop by next time we are in town! Very cozy and intimate with only a handful of tables. Bunch of Thai decor around the restaurant. And of course a random TV and hanging Xbox hah.

This sm0l establishment is run by the nicest (I assume) couple. They checked on us often and offered recommendations for the different dishes (e.g., spice, rice vs noodles). They also gave us a couple Thai tea's on the house! Very refreshing during this heat wave.

Food - 5/5
Now I'll be honest with the non-lunch special value of at least ~$14-17 a plate, I was worried that we would not have enough food and/or they quality would not be great. Alas, I was gratefully mistaken. This day we got Chicken Pad Thai, fried Eggplant, Roasted Duck Basil and Garlic Basil Tofu. Each dish was made with fresh ingredients, wasn't overly cooked or oily and was filling. Much like I said above, TV could stand on it's own Thai Town. But, why compete with so many other restaurants when you can capitalize in NOHO? My personal favorite dish was the roasted duck. The duck was crispy and was on a bed of Chinese broccoli. All dishes were distinct, but complimentary. Also we had some Thai coffees and man did it wake us up (and also sent us to the bathroom hah).

“The atmosphere is always weird there. It's also van nuys so it's just a weird area but the food is absolutely amazing. The staff is questionable I have had times where people are not friendly and other times people are super friendly but doesn't see genuine. I'm a big stickler for good service and I don't mind them but it could be better service. I always get uncomfortable with the amount of times people wash their hands and change their gloves while working because I have been in this industry and seen the worst but I usually just try and watch the person making my food and pray they try staying clean“
