Came here with a large group of friends on a weekday night. We were able to be seated right away. The parking is ample, but most of the stores next door were closed by the time we arrived (around 7:30/8). We noticed there were other large parties in the restaurant, even one celebrating a birthday with their own cake! The service was quick. There's water already set out on the table for you, although it tasted a bit off. We got mango lassis and our own dishes. I got the spicy dosa. It's huge! I'm a fan of crepes, and eating this was so fun. The spice built up; I could still taste the flavors on my tongue and smell it on my fingers for a while after the meal. The mango lassi was sour, slightly sweet, creamy and mellowed the spice out. My friends got the chicken and lamb on sizzling plates and they smelled heavenly. They had great flavor as well, and came with onions and tomatoes. One of my friends got the chicken biryani and the portion felt like it could be 3 meals, or 2 at least. It was served TOWERING in a bowl so he wasn't sure how to approach it. I'd ask for a separate bowl on the side. The menu is extensive and has great prices. I'd definitely come back!

Food is pretty good (specially malai kofta & paneer biryani) - loved the quality of their naan- very flaky and warm A must try

Food is delicious, well seasoned. Portions are generous. They serve mutton which is hard to find but delicious. We got takeout so I can't comment on the atmosphere or the servers. But the food was fresh hot and wonderful! I will get food here when I'm next in the area.

Pleasantly surprised by their Indo-Chinese entrees. Hakka noodles well made and were not greasy. Gobi 65 was crunchy from outside and soft inside and it was yum. we also malai kofta and naan. Naans were outstanding , thin, bit crunchy and soft.

Fish 65: very flavorful and the fish had the right consistency as in not too dry. Sauce had the right amount of heat for me, but would be good with rice and a yogurt sauce to balance. Chicken Biryani: delicious. Rice was perfectly cooked and chicken was juicy. Definitely their star dish. Garlic Naan: just ok. Not as fluffy as I would like. Butter chicken: disappointing. Spicy and rich without much balanced flavors. Felt heavy but not tasty. Service: the food came out fast. It took awhile to get our order taken and to get the check. Ambiance: very casual and lots of people coming in for takeout orders.

Everything we ordered was very flavorful ! The rava dosa tasted good too. The hariyali kebab was pur favorite. We also ordered the chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala and loved them! Will definitely be visitng again to try other things on the menu. However, one thing to keep in mind is the wait time here, so be prepared for that. We had to wait almost 30 mins for the food to start coming out. Also, the ambiance was ok. Not a super fancy restaurant. The tables were clean and decent enough to sit and enjoy a hearty meal!

Bland and tasteless butter chicken. No heating inside, bad ambience. Tasteless chicken soup.

Worst food I have ever had. I cant even believe how this restaurant is rated decently. I ordered butter chicken which is the most popular dish, and it was beyond tasteless. My husband and I preferred not to eat and just left the restaurant. I would suggest the owners to taste their own food before presenting it to customers.

Overall food was bad. This is not authentic food. Paneer tikka masala and Malai kofta were too sweet. Paneer sizzler was also too sweet. I will not go again.

I visited Indian Tadka in Sunnyvale on a Tuesday evening at 5 pm, and it turned out to be a pleasant experience overall. The best part? No wait time and ample parking in their lot, which is always a relief in this area. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we decided to go all out, ordering butter naan, garlic naan, goat biryani, butter chicken, palak paneer, and chicken Manchurian. The variety was a bit overwhelming, but we were eager to sample a range of dishes based on the promising reviews. The stars of the show were undoubtedly the naan and biryani. The butter naan was a perfect balance of freshness, softness, and a delightful crunch. The garlic naan, while not stealing the spotlight, complemented the mains exceptionally well. The goat biryani, a personal favorite, was a triumph. The rice was flawlessly fluffy, and the flavors were on point. However, the butter chicken and palak paneer left us with mixed feelings. Both dishes erred on the side of being too sweet and creamy for our taste. The richness was a bit overwhelming, and we would have preferred a more balanced flavor profile. It's a matter of personal preference, but we felt the sweetness overshadowed the other intricate spices that make Indian cuisine so special. The chicken Manchurian was a surprising addition to our order, and it turned out to be a pleasant deviation from the usual Indian fare. The Indo-Chinese fusion was well-executed, providing a welcome change to our taste buds. The service was prompt and attentive, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. While not every dish hit the mark for us, the standout naan and biryani make Indian Tadka a solid choice for a flavorful Indian meal. If you're a fan of bold and aromatic dishes, this spot is worth a visit. Koi

It's my top 5 Indian restaurants in south bay. A must place to eat the very best Indian cuisine

We enjoyed eating here with another couple recently. The menu is large, the staff pleasant and helpful, the food we ordered tasted good, and (on a weeknight) we thought the restaurant was quite pleasant. They obviously do quite a business with order pickups, but it wasn't intrusive.

I ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan. Both were delicious, the butter chicken was not spicy but very flavorful and they definitely did not skimp on the garlic for the naan. I ordered takeout so didn't get a good look at the interior but it looked simple and homey. My order was ready within 20 minutes of ordering so they're super fast and the food was pippin hot even after getting home (15 min drive).

My current favorite for the Indian food fix. They're known for their biriyani and I think that's due to the mastery of cooking basmati rice. Never dry or hard and consistently plump to soak up the accompanying gravy. Fish 65 is why I love this place. Tender pieces of fish fillet that absorb their rendition of 65 sauce. Word of caution...the dish can range from pleasantly spicy to sweating bullets spicy. My guess for this would be the natural variance in chilis or heavy handed cooks. In either case, it's the dish that leaves a lasting memory in my circle of friends. They hold dosa night on Thursdays, iirc. Additionally, they offer a very good lunch special that includes their biriyani, starter, curry and naan. Ordered either vegetarian or non-vegetarian, it's a quick way to get acquainted to their menu at an affordable price.

Nice clean seating area. Quick and helpful service. Tasty food. We ordered Fish Sinthamani which was delectable: small pieces of fish in a savory and mildly tangy gravy. Andhra Mutton Masala was nice and flavorful: quite different from the north Indian Mutton curries. It might be a bit spicy. We loved it. Butter naan was good too. Mango Lassy was also good. Staff are very polite. Definitely a place to taste authentic South Indian food.
