I don’t care what others say, as a native Shanghainese, this is the best authentic 上海生煎馒头 in the Bay Area. Don’t like the service or environment, Just order takeout and put on low heat skillet for 10 mins when get home.
A friend of mine took me there 5 years ago during my visit and I had the best 生煎包 that I ever had in 20 years in the US.Now I have come back for another week long visit and I simply have to go there every single day! Tried different stuff and I love their鲜肉小馄炖and 萝卜酥饼. Totally worth the trip! They remind me of my childhood time back in China.Note that the freshly cooked生煎 tastes much better than taking home and microwave.

This place should get better ratings. Food is good but don't come here for the atmosphere, you get what you pay for. I liked the fried baos and the noodle combo. Owner seems hard working, teapot was a bit dirty on the outside.
