The fried rice was good and had lots of toppings, but it was nothing special! However the orange chicken was really good with it still being crunchy even after being out for a long time it was crunchy and sweet and extremely tasty, however the broccoli beef was extremely mid with the servers giving me mostly broccoli and the beef tasted a little too gamey. The hot and sour soup was also all right, but it didn’t have much flavor either and the toppings inside didn’t have any texture. OVERALL I would not come again as it wasn’t too special, however if you want a cheap meal it would be worth it if you know what to get!“
“A friend of mine took me there 5 years ago during my visit and I had the best 生煎包 that I ever had in 20 years in the US.Now I have come back for another week long visit and I simply have to go there every single day! Tried different stuff and I love their鲜肉小馄炖and 萝卜酥饼. Totally worth the trip! Definitely above your typical market rates, but I promise these will be true to the OG flavors. It's mostly a food pick-up type of service where you walk up to a shared space and ring a doorbell to have an aunty bring out your stuff.Online ordering was how I did it, but you can also call/text an order over the phone. The ordering process is a bit unusual in that you have to plan these ahead of time (by about 3-days or so depending on time of week) then wait for a confirmation text on the day of. Unfortunately, impromptu cravings must likely be held at bay. Sometimes you can short-notice stuff if they have leftovers, but that's defintely a gamble. With either planning or luck, you'll then walk off with a hefty bag of deliciousness. You can have the option of getting them freshly cooked or frozen (for stocking up).The zongzi are well packaged and tightly wrapped with color-codings to the string to separate the fillings from each other. It's a bit cryptic, but you'll notice those correspond with the pictures on their ordering site. “About the best shop in the area for frozen dumplings. Wide variety including 4 kinds of vegetarian dumplings. The zucchini dumpling is pretty good. But the best veggie is not listed on their menu or website: Beyond meat & corn dumpling. This is the closest veg version to the juicy pork dumpling. Just ask for it at the store. Now serving hot take-out dishes (see photo of menu). Not all items may be available every day. You can call ahead and check availability, and they may even set some aside for you to pick up if they're running low.“

“So much deliciousness in our order, from the Garlic String Bean to the Shanghai Pan Fried Soup Dumpling (6) to the Har Gow Shrimp Dumpling (8) to the Pork Dumpling W. Napa Cabbage ALL EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. However, the Salt & Pepper Fish, though very tasty, had an oddly sweet-tasting batter - just weird. But overall, this place serves amazingly good food.“

Really authentic Shanghaiese food, from small dishes like pancake, egg roll, Wonton to hot dishes like sweet and sour pork ribs, fish fillet and XLB, I can taste the flavor from my hometown. Food is not greasy at all but still delicious. The restaurant is also very clean and servers are very friendly.“
“Another tasty restaurant to try different items. We were not too hungry, just wanted noodles and an appetizer. Shanghai noodle and cold mushroom with tofu. The noodles had a nice texture and I liked the broth. My husband would have preferred some lime with it and probably order with vegetables. The tofu was cold as stated and it had fun textures with peanuts and mushrooms. Probably bring more people next time to have more variety.“

We also loved a steamed dumplings , also juicy and thin skins! Appreciate it! In the morning there are people waiting, but line goes quickly. We had 4 dishes for 65 $ . “I recently dined at Hi Pot and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The restaurant offers a wide range of choices for hotpot, with a great selection of meats, vegetables, and other ingredients. I appreciated the variety of options, which allowed me to create a customized meal that was perfect for my taste preferences.The food was of excellent quality, with fresh ingredients that were perfectly cooked. I particularly enjoyed the spicy broth, which had just the right amount of heat and added a wonderful depth of flavor to the meal. The price was also very reasonable, considering the quality and variety of the food that was offered. Also, they offered free sweet tea.However, one area where Hi Pot could improve is in their staffing on Sundays. During my visit, it seemed like there was only one waiter on staff, which led to some delays in service. Despite this, the waiter was incredibly friendly and did his best to keep up with the demands of the restaurant. With more staff on hand, I'm sure the experience would have been even more enjoyable.Despite this minor issue, I would highly recommend Hi Pot to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying hotpot meal. “Pretty interior, and the chef seems like a professional who pays attention to details. For example, the tea served is good, and the grains of white rice are pleasantly chewy, "Q". “This place has the best Fried Pork Buns (shēng jīan bāo 生煎包) and braised fried rice with pork I've ever had!!!! I order those 2 dishes every time.The fried pork buns have extremely juicy and tender meat with the perfect flavour and amount of soup. The buns are fried to a beautiful golden brown on the bottom adding a layer of crunchy texture to the tender meat and soup wrapped inside. Each bite is bliss. The braised fried rice is very 香, it has a great flavour and makes you want to keep eating more and more.I've also tried their Spicy Minced Pork Dry Noodles and cauliflower but those were too dry and not as good. They have both a brick and mortar location (seems to be a good location (also nearby Hanabusa Cafe!) with decent environment/seating inside) and are also available on Uber Eats.“
