“Ambiance and flavors are top-notch! I recently "discovered" this local restaurant and was SO impressed. The outdoor dining patio is encapsulated from the street noise and the restaurant transports you to a feeling of fine dining without hurting your wallet. The food is so darn flavorful; you can't go wrong with just the shareable pizzas, but be sure to try the main dishes. My wife loves the Mango Chicken and I'm a fan of the Cancun Steak. For dessert, the coconut flan is fantastic, but I will knock over a small child to get more of the Apple Tart Tatin with its caramelized fruit in butter and sugar. The bar is also stocked with top-shelf spirits, and the mojitos are sweetened with actual sugar cane freshly crushed and squeezed right there at the bar. Whether its a date night, special occasion, or you just want to eat something delicious, this is the type of restaurant that is a local favorite and honestly, will becomes yours too.“

“FOOD/DRINK: They make such a great cortado coffee, would definitely get it again. Also had two vegetarian arepas - black bean and cheese, and mushroom chorizo. The latter was my favorite, but both were delicious! These came out on the quicker side (maybe 5 minutes?), though I know can take up to 20 to make from the other reviews. Tasted flavorful and fresh, and were a great portion size for breakfast or a mid-day snack. They have a decent-sized breakfast and lunch menu (along with some pastries), plenty of vegetarian options, and fruit juices that looked really refreshing. AMBIENCE: I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't super crowded. There's a few 2-4 seater tables, a larger window-facing table with comfy chairs, a ledge for those who want to park with a laptop, and some outdoor sidewalk seating. More of a casual vibe, very bright and airy and open. On a corner. There is street parking (up to 1 hour directly in front, and up to 2 hours a few blocks down on Ocean). That's my one qualm, is that it'd be hard to spend more than 2 hours here due to the parking situation. SERVICE: So friendly and kind.“

“I just want to say this is the most welcoming Jamaican establishment I’ve ever been to. Immediately when you walk in, you are met with such positivity and a warm smile from the owner who deserves top tier recognition for his culinary effort and expertise. I had the jerk chicken and stew chicken between two visits and both were just phenomenal. The Chef and staff both have an uncanny ability to light your taste buds in nostalgia with every bite, which left me reminiscing on Momma’s signature Caribbean dishes growing up. Thank you for transporting me back home through a plate of food, when it’s not so easy to have momma’s cooking when she lives in NYC. The love and passion you put in your food is much appreciated. Food should always be nourishing, but it’s better when it’s emotional. Filled with love. I loved the sweet plantains and how perfect the Pattie’s are. If you are in town, please give them a shot. These people are beautiful inside and out and the food will not disappoint.“

“Lechón asado. If you eat pork, that's the way to go. Tender roast pork marinated in mojo, a delectable garlic-citrus sauce, is topped with rings of not-quite-raw onion and served alongside a mountain of white rice, onto which you spoon saucy black beans. As if that's not enough you get a side of sweet fried plantains too. Portions are plenty, but if you want a starter, look no further than the yuca frita, chunks of fried starchy cassava root with more mojo to dip, of course (though I wish they offered yuca boiled as well). It's the closest most of us will get to Cuba without a change in diplomatic strategy.“

“Great chicken, would greatly appreciate it if service was faster but waiter was very friendly. Ambiance felt like I went on a mini vacay. Get the chicken, that's all you need. It's great they serve food from different countries but the chicken is their specialty.“
“Was lucky enough to come in as soon as they opened so it was nice and empty I had no problem ordering from the menu, it was easy to read.. Ended up going with the j*** chicken enchiladas because it was a very interesting combination and it sounds really good. And let me tell you it does not disappoint! They had great music playing that makes you feel like you are back on the islands. The hostess was nice. The food did not take long and it came out piping hot and fresh. Please stop here if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed. For any veterans that leave the VA hospital, definitely come here for lunch!“

“I saw this place a few months ago and I said I needed to try them out. I finally did on Saturday, and let me tell you the food was amazing! I have tried many Jamaican restaurants and the food here was by far exceptional, but what's most important is the energy I felt when I visited the Tampa Ave location. Jet Wing Cafe is definitely my go to now! The jerk chicken and veggie pattie's are delicious to say the least!..... GIVE THEM A TRY! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED“

“Before moving to SFV, my bf and I would go out to find something to eat, during one of those days we passed in front of this place, we had to make a U turn, the smell of charbroiled chicken was inviting us to go try it, the chicken was delicious, I bought an extra chicken so my family could try it and they too loved it. I have tried the ribs, but for some reason every time the meat was super hard, and didn't even have barbecue sauce, I gave up and no longer order ribs, only the chicken, it has yet to disappoint me. The staff is friendly and they are quick.“

“Everything I ordered was so good. The original spicy has a pop of heat in each bite and the chicken is crispy and not oily. The soy garlic is sweet but not too sweet with no heat at all. My only complaint is the price. It's pretty pricey for chicken wings. Everything is cooked as you order and not sitting under a heat lamp so it's definitely worth the wait. This location has a very small parking lot so if you see a parking spot do not pass it up.“
