nothing special! no salt and pepper on table. I ordered the fajitas chicken dry, shrimp small very salty and carne tough! never saw server till bill came!

Kalaveras | Mexican Restaurant is located on the second floor in old town Temecula, with a nice view of the mountains and old town. The interior is a bit dark but whimsical with colorful decor and lively Mexican music. The decor is pretty cool, and the interior seating is well spaced so you don't feel cramped. There is balcony seating and an elevator.
The complimentary tortilla chips are some of the best, and the salsa is delicious. The tacos are affordable and tasty, with options like shrimp, barbacoa, chicharrones, and asada. The chicken in the enchilada mole was tender and cubed. The Spanish rice was fluffy and seasoned. The drinks are good, refreshing, and not too strong. The food comes out fast and is hot and tasty. The carne asada plate and chicken fajitas were really good. The queso fresco on the guacamole was delicious.
Customer service was excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. The manager is very nice and makes things right if there is a wait. It can get busy and a lil loud during peak hours, but the experience is great.
