“My Dad and I have gone there twice so far and will definitely be returning. The service was perfect. Food and drinks are brought to your bay in a timely manner. Help with the simulator was available throughout the entire reservation. I recommend this place for friends, family, or even individual practice.“
“My husband was staying at usc hospital and me and my son would pass by everyday to go to our hotel and one day we stopped and ate an early dinner. The service was exceptional and everyone was really nice and attentive. The Mac and cheese bites were my favorite appetizer!! So good. The pizza I had was really good and my son said his pasta was good. The older gentleman with the accent was really sweet. Under the circumstances that we found this place wasn’t great, but glad we could sit and enjoy a great meal at a great place and people. Thank you!“
“Perfection. This tiny Monrovia brewery produces the world's premier beers. The sour crumble seasonals are world-class incredible. Their Starhazer IPA is immaculate. Help yourself to free, fresh popcorn. This place has it all! Go. See. Taste....N' don't forget to tip your tap professional.“
“Our server was top notch, very aware of our table....a joy to have as wait staff! Food was incredible, prep was top notch, portion sizes were varied. General atmosphere was tiki lounge lite, a fun, Cali casual/island theme very comfy. Bartender knew her way around mixology....no complaints!“
“Stop by here on a Saturday afternoon while scouting for the Kaiser Vision Essentials building that was supposedly located nearby and on top of that, was also an excuse to use the Metro Rail to gauge the walking distance between the station and both of these businesses. The address notes it as being located on Catalina Ave so I was under the impression that the business 'front' would be facing the street like how the other businesses that line up the corner closest to the Colorado Blvd but it's not. It's actually wedged between a take out American BBQ restaurant and an open air parking lot. On the side of the building that belongs to the same BBQ restaurant is a 12x12 tiny ass logo on the building with an arrow pointing you down this non-descript alleyway. This non-descript alleyway looks like any other industrial alleyway: grey concrete, surrounded by open-ring fences, telephone poles, and random ass vehicles parked on the side closest to the open air parking lot. Once you've walked down far enough, there's a small black signage to your left pointing to a non-descriptive black building where there's a small flight of stairs that you walk down and that's T Boyle Tavern. Once inside, you're greeted with this woodsy, rustic inn type of decor. Front of bar is quite literally directly in front of you as you walk down the flight of stairs. There are several wooden high top tables and chairs just before you reach the bar area. TV's line that entire wall plus to the two sides of the establishment that are tuned into sports. Men's restrooms are to the left 'corner' from the front entrance and women's restrooms are to the right 'corner' from the front entrance. There's a small flight of stairs on the women's restrooms side that leads up to presumably a part of the open air parking lot. Well gins are $6, while well whiskeys and well vodkas are $12. To the right of the bar area are some TV's that lists the beers that they have on tap for the week. They ranged between $6-10. They serve regular food, mostly finger foods like burgers, sandwiches, fries, amd chicken fingers. The menu will be given to you when you head up to the front of bar. I ordered a Bourbon Old Fashioned, a Vodka Soda and a Gin and Tonic. Then I ordered a beer whose name I forgot off the TV menu. I think they tasted fine. They can't make the 'fancier' cocktails because they don't have the ingredients for them so if that's your cup of tea, this is not your spot for that. This is more of a beers on tap with some basic cocktails and well drinks. Ambiance. This place feels like one of those spots that you'd take large groups of friends amd family to watch sports and knock back a few brewski's. It was quite dead in the afternoon save for a few elderly family groups present that were apparently relatives of the bartenders. They take credit cards. Enough said. Service. The male bartenders seemed friendly enough. Parking. I don't normally talk about parking but because this place is located in Pasadena, where there's more parking restrictions relative to other areas, you'd want to know where you can park cheaply or free, ideally. Street parking lining up and down Catalina Ave are two hours max between 9AM-6PM. Any time after that should be free. There's the open air parking lot that is not cheap but not DTLA expensive. I didn't catch a good glimpse of the rates unfortunately but I vaguely recall it being stupid expensive for just a few minutes of parking but if you pay the daily rate maximum, it's in the high single digits. All in all, I think it's better to just take the Metro Rail and take the scenic 20-minute walk over to the place than to drive here, at least during the day time. Not too sure how the area would look later at night. I came away with a pretty positive experience of this place and would probably stop by again to try out their food on my next visit.“
“I just had the best Friday night this year here. Came with my favorite people for some margaritas to unwind, and left having had the best Mexican food in the area and the most delicious margaritas. The customer service was wonderful, our waiter especially was very kind and personable. The ambiance of the bar was amazing and relaxed. Perfect for a Friday night out! We were especially delighted to have heard a few nice karaoke performances“
“They have multiple large screens around the dining room and in patio. Lots of fun to watch your favorite team with friends. Since they're owned by North Woods Inn, they serve some of the same foods, including red cabbage and Iceberg lettuce with blue cheese dressing salads and their incredible cheese bread (at a lower price). The price I'm quoting below, per person includes one or two drinks (alcohol).Parking: Never a problem getting a spot, even when they're busy.“
“Let me start by saying this is one of my favorite bars the service is phenomenal Chris big Mike Joanna best friend and the new girl Chantel aka Alex is amazing the bar is extremely clean staff is friendly and know what you like for me it’s like a 4.5 out of 5 but 100% will be a 5 if they had twisted tea thank you 626 bar for a good time all the time“
“Check this place out whether you're a professional or want to play for fun with family and friends! (All ages!) Pool tables are in great condition. It's CASH ONLY $7/hr for one person or $12/hr for two or more people on a table. This place looks a thousand times better after the remodel and has a very chill vibe. Loooove the lighting and portraits they have on their walls. Their hours may be a bit off because they're having issues with the city and a zoning code, as of now they're open 2pm-1am but I believe will start closing at 10pm in the near future (hopefully not for long). You can always call and ask ahead of time about hours or how busy it is. They have a few new lady bartenders that are very nice and provide great costumer service. Also, cue repair Monday-Wednesday with Jose. It starts getting busy at night so definitely stop by before 7:30pm to grab a table on time, you might get lucky anytime after or get stuck on the waiting list for awhile but you can always grab a beer or soda and play darts while you wait. They don't serve food but you're welcome to bring outside food and eat by the bar (no food by the pool tables). They also don't allow outside drinks but they do sell bottled water, soda, bottled beer and HOPEFULLY beer on tap once they finish repairing the taps. Overall, amazing place to have a great time and play some pool!“
“My friend and i came here on Christmas Day and i was so glad they were open.Andrew is our bartender and he was very attentive to all our orders. He made every drink we ordered and they were actually very satisfying. The portions were all right and they tasted exactly as how they should.Food choices were limited to chips but there is a satisfying amount of entertainment from dart boards, a jukebox and a pool table. The patrons that come here are pretty mellow and not like the crazy loud obnoxious crowds that I run into at some bars. You can go for a smoke in the back where there are tables, chairs and ashtrays to use.The restrooms were clean and well maintained.Lots of parking in the back through Wells Fargo Bank.“
“Lots of activities take place it's not your typical bar. Monday nights feature country line dancing for all levels from beginners to advanced, trivia and karaoke nights plus live music on the weekends, located in Old Town Monrovia free public parking in lots with less than a 5 minute walk.“
“It was a blast! We got invited to a birthday party here, the place is not too huge but also not small. I think there were 40-50 people, they first served appetizers in each table with drinks. The food was great served buffet style and when everyone were done there were still a lot of food on the table. The sound system was provided by the host's family, they just brought a small strobe light, mic and because the place is not too big a small a loud speaker made it through. The only issue I had was the restroom - there is only 1 shared male/female restroom , no problem sharing with men but you will always see a line, so be prepared to hold it until it's all clear, lol!. Parking is free across the street.“
“I live literally around the corner from this bar my first time stopping in like the atmosphere for the most part the people are very friendly I forget our bartender's name but she was pretty awesome I think I would make this my bar of choice“
“Super cool little spot! Not much people there when we went because there wasn't a game going on. However we still had fun. We played billiards and darts, and the owners were super friendly and helped us out with how to play. Everyone else there was friendly as well. When we are back in the area we'll be back again!“
“I just loved this place the decor is so random but I think it's just fun the drinks were strong and delicious and the price was great. I didn't try the food but it looked upscale and beautiful not what you typically see at a dive bar. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because parking suuuucks. We went around and around. Other than that this place was dope.“
“Lots of draft beer if you like draft beer no hard alcohol necessarilyLittle Joe's next door and they used to bring it to you in the bar to eat there food is good it's getting ready to open again.Diomand pool tables are nice.Good music system.“
“Came here during a week night where they had a game on their big screen in the back patio. Loved how they have patio sectional furniture along with other furniture. Makes you feel right at home!My friend and I shared a huge burrito and got some drinks. The prices were reasonable. If you want water, it's self-serve where there are pitchers and cups on a table. There was a raffle going on as well, and we won a bobblehead. The guy running the raffle made everything so fun and interactive. And he has such an adorable and friendly sharpei pup. The servers did great checking up on us.Free parking in the back lot.Parking: Free parking in the back lot“
“Usually, when we’re traveling we’ll check out different places. This trip, we came to Kings Row twice!! Great grub (I had the fish and chips, and next trip had a burger), nice variety of local micro beers on tap. Order on your phone but the staff was great in following up with us … saw they had outdoor seating available … will go back next time in the area.“
“I've been coming here for over 8yrs.... Unfortunately I went yesterday 12/11/23 and I ended up getting food poisoning, the service was terrible and you have nothing but a bunch of drunk idiots fighting at the bar. Even the owner got a bloody eye one time I was there. This place can be great just needs a lot, a lot of work with service food and the atmosphere plus security. I got the pasta with buffalo chicken. That's what got me sick.“
“Finally, I had the opportunity to try islands out and tried the Hawaiian chicken sandwich and the mini burgers with fries. Both were really good, the food is good but a bit on the pricey side in my opinion but other than that I have no complaints.“
“Came here by chance because I forgot to make a reservation for Gyu-Kaku but I honestly loved the food here! The atmosphere was perfect the food was delicious and it came out very quickly. The waitress was also very nice. 5 stars! Would come again!“
“Love this place! Well curated stock of fresh beer featuring options often unavailable at the large retailers. You can mix and match single cans for takeout or consume onsite for a nominal corkage fee. As others have noted, there are also many beers on tap in the back, where you typically find an eclectic mix of customers watching sports inside or enjoying the sun on the patio. Fun place, excellent staff and dog friendly. Highly recommended!“
“I hadn't been to this location in about 10 years. Back then it was a total dive bar with "fichera" girls. This time I experienced a fairly nice bar while I watched both the Canelo vs. GGG Trilogy boxing match and the Dodgers vs. Giants baseball game simultaneously. The waitresses and bartenders were very nice. I'll definitely keep this place in mind for watching future sports events. Otherwise, parking for this location isn't easy to come by and it's not a pick up joint. The clientele was pretty much exclusively middle aged Mexican men.“
“Always great to come back and visit this place. Food was awesome and the staff was nice. Food came but the drinks never came out, and they never came back to ask if anything else was needed like to go box's or a quick greet making sure the food was how it's suppose to be. other then that everything was awesome.“
“This place gave me the feel of Del Rae in Pico Rivera. Love the atmosphere, service was excellent. No hovering over my table. Food was delicious. Fell in love with the cheesecake dessert! I will definitely return when I am back in the area. It has an old time feel that you have to experience.“
“Well Hello to the person that may be reading this review.! you might drive right past this place if you live in the area some may think it's just a Bar only but it's not it's also a Restaurant too and believe it or not the Food Is Amazing, might put you to shock. I had the Philly Cheese Steak with homemade Fries with that homemade Aioli Sauce to dip my fries with, oh! man so good also try out their Nachos and them Wings Mango Habanero bomb also Lemon Pepper much more food I need to try. The Staff is very friendly and welcoming haven't had any issues they do sell alcohol so if your not to big of a fan on beer they have liquor you can get your mix drinks on. They have TVs music and certain days they have a live Band playing. So maybe one day swing by and give it a shot, don't want to miss out.“
“Post 280 is an old school veterans post. It's got that 60/70s look and feel, just what some of us are looking for. Good beer, good service, good people. Some posts are not so welcoming and accommodating, not the case with this post. I was impressed with all their innovations and creativity with new events, fundraisers, and trying to reopen which are all challenging now. The bar manager Lisa truly makes this place the spot I want to hang out in. Thank you from Post 180. Your always welcome to stop by our post anytime.“
“We were in town for business and stopped in for a few beverages. Ms. Holly was incredible! Very personable and friendly and welcoming! Asked our names and actually remembered them! Highly recommend! We will be back this week for sure!!Heather and Mike Klein (Phoenix, AZ)“
“Overall it was a pleasant experience...our busser/server was above par. There was a lot of food our group ordered...I will only mention the huevos rancheros...a bit on the salty side but that was my taste. Not sure for others. I normally do not use salt for my meals at home. So I think it was just me.“
“Cool dive bar. They play banda and other Hispanic music. First time here and everyone was so welcoming and the staff gave great customer service. They have only beer but have a variety. Cash only, but they do have a ATM in bar.. Like I said cool bar to enjoy a few beers. I'd come back..“
“It was a clean bar, a bar where u can just chill and throw back a few. It felt like a very local bar bc of the atmosphere every body knew everybody and they where having a pool tournament it seemed like but I will definitely be back. I'm New to the area so to find a place like this comfortable it's rare.“
