“I originally learned about Red Rock when I was in Japan. A local girl told me about this roast beef place that serves this tower of thinly sliced roast beef with a horseradish yogurt sauce.

I don't even like horseradish, so that didn't exactly sell me lol, but somehow the sauce doesn't really taste the way I expected and the whole thing works.

So when I found out there was a Red Rock in Torrance, obviously I had to see how it compared.

I came right when they opened, so it wasn't busy. They make everything fresh to order and even have a sign telling you to be patient. I ordered the smaller roast beef bowl and added the egg. Still good, and the egg definitely makes it better.

But the surprise was the hamburger steak.

It was only around $13, and normally this isn't something I'd get excited about. I'm usually not a huge fan of giant meatball/meatloaf-type things because I feel like the inside never has enough flavor. Then this came out covered in this super dark gravy and I wasn't expecting much.

It was bomb.

I actually think I liked the hamburger steak more than the roast beef, which I absolutely wasn't expecting. The roast beef is still good, but I'm really glad I tried something different instead of only ordering what I already knew.

There were several other things I wanted to try, including the omurice, so I'll definitely be back. There's also a dessert place next door that I need to investigate next time because apparently one stop wasn't enough lol.“

“My new favorite spot for breakfast date. Our go to order B.L.T.A sandwich and some spicy tenders. That combo is just (chef's kiss). Usually go in the morning, always clean, food is so good. They make it when you order it, by the time you bring it to your table it is still steaming. Love it. This location is 5 stars. We have tried El Segundo location but it doesn't compare at all. Torrance location is the OG.“

1. 25 minutes after I ordered I walked back to the counter and she asked me if I wanted more sweet tea. Attention to detail and memory was amazing.
2. She noticed my kid wasn’t playing with the toy and asked me if I wanted an ice cream! Came directly to my table without being asked. Guest awareness.
3. As a random gesture of kindness, she bought me a be-our-guest card to come back for another kids meal because she recognized how much my year and a half year-old was enjoying it.

My go-to, fast food burgers have been at Carl’s for years because they taste great. Although they are also consistently prepared well at other Carl’s stores I’ve been to, what makes this one special at 24010 Hawthorne Boulevard is an employee named Maria.

She is there on Saturdays when I often take my mom for our burger fix. Besides moving quickly and being efficient, she’s always very friendly. Plus, she remembers our preferences from previous visits. For example, when I order a single drink, she always hands me two straws, knowing my mom and I will share it.

I was especially impressed with her one day when their computer system for the registers went down. When I pulled into the drive-thru to order, she said through the speaker that they could not give any receipts and asked if that was okay. I said sure, and she took my order. When I pulled up to the window to pay and get my food, she had already used a calculator to total my order manually. This gal kept the store open and kept taking orders even as the company computer system was down! Wow! This kind of dedication is rare, and she should be commended by someone at the Carl’s corporate level for all she does. From me as a customer… Thank you, Maria!“

Most of the times customers come back for food, but sometimes customer choose to come back because they like the feeling of being welcomed and treated with respect. “This is a great concept for a takeout restaurant with prepared meals. I got the cilantro rice, spicy black beans, a buddha bowl with tofu, and honey spicy sweet potatoes for a great price. Some items were 25% off because they were going out of date the next day, but they lasted in my fridge, and still tasted fresh, for 3 days. They also have meat entrees, but I really appreciated their vegan options. The only reason I didn't give Everytable five stars is because they use more oil than I prefer. The food is yummy, but wish they'd use less oil, at least on the vegan dishes. And, the service was helpful, especially for my first time there. The location in Torrance has a small area with tables and chairs and they will heat up your food, if you prefer your meal warm.“

Today I decided to try it since my wife said she wanted some Chinese food, the quality of the food is really good from their age chicken, to beef broccoli, teriyaki chicken, spicy orange chicken, chicken veggie roles , I’m definitely going back. “Been going to Yogi for a long time. It's a great place for a simple healthy meal. Honestly, lots of times when I don't know what to eat or just don't have time to prepare I'll head over to Yogi's for a meal.

Small parking lot, but I've never seen this lot full so it's nice and easy. Service is quick and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating to requests. The place is small and but enough sitting and very clean.

Call me basic or predictable, but I'll always get their chicken veggie plate with sauce on the side. Eat the chicken and rice with your preferred amount of teriyaki sauce and chili and it's a satisfying meal. The veggies are well prepared, not overly cooked at all. It's a very balanced meal and usually with the plate, I'll have some for another meal.

“Let's go Steve! This place is actually pretty good, it's got a wide variety of breakfast foods, dinners, lunches, tacos and burritos, omelets and fries, salads, really good chili and so much more! The service is pretty fast, and the portion sizes are pretty big. Definitely a place I would come back to. Everything we tried was filling and definitely worth it. There's plenty of parking, and lots of seating inside. I would highly recommend, especially for a lunchtime meal.

“This is my go-to El Pollo Loco. The quality of the food is always great, I kind of miss their Loco Tenders that they had for a limited time. The Pollo Bowl is a great value, just $5 and I think $5.99 for the combo, but there's too much rice and beans at the bottom for me. The service for in-store pickup and drive-thru is always great, the staff are nice and polite. They're very helpful in letting me use coupons and scan my app barcode. Parking can sometimes be a bit difficult to find when it's busy.“
