I love chilaquiles in general and have had it over 40 times in the 3 years I've lived in LA. I like it fancy (with lobster on a rooftop in ktown) or down home (from a restaurant downtown) but this is a place I could return to all the time. Pick your sauce, pick your protein, pick your toppings. Salsas from mild to very spicy. I had the arbol last time and it was definitely 🔥 The guy working the counter was great--fast and knowledgeable.
I got a mild guagillo sauce and had them give me a side of spicy chile de árbol sauce. It was delicious and perfect amount of spicy for me. Service was fast. You get to choose your toppings and they make them right in front of you on a pan just like homemade. There’s plenty of seating and very clean.
