Pizza On the Hill is a hidden gem located in the Tahoe Donner development of Truckee. The pizza, especially the crust, is considered some of the best around, and the food, including wings and specials, is great. The service is friendly, although during busy times, it can be slow, and staff may not always be able to quickly buss tables. This family-friendly spot offers indoor and outdoor seating, with the option to order at the counter and find a seat. The staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a good choice for a fun, casual dining experience in Truckee. Guests can enjoy large pizzas, with the option for smaller sizes, and there are beers, good wine options, a playground for kids, and sometimes live music on some nights. The location features a park in front, perfect for summer days and family outings, and the staff, like Shellie, are known for being awesome.
