Got two over price burgers , both well done, my wife was over cooked, mine rare! I am 79 and this was the worse burger I ever had, that says it all!
The food was decent. I like the ribs. Everything else was ok. Had to wait 30 minutes for are food. At least tryif your in the area.
Pretty good food overall. 7/10. We had the BBQ 2 meat sampler, shake and cup.of chilli.
We were going to try the tortilla soup but apparently its seasonal for winter.
The cornbread and sweet potato fries are delicious. 9.5/10.
The shake is good, but ours were runny, the mtn dew flavored one was basically just vanilla with a hint of lemon. The soda could be why it was runny. And for $9 it was very small. 5/10.
The brisket is a 8.5/10.
The pulled chicken was dry and a little bland withoutadding BBQ sauce. 5/10.
Grilled asparagus is wonderful but the bases were left on and flavorful but hard/chewy.
Their BBQ sauce is rummy, white cap mild, red cap hot.
The chili cup was yummy but the shredded cheese was a little old we think. 6/10.
Over all, it was filling and we ate it all. However, we do not think it was worth the price. We have had better for less. Or, if the portions were bigger for the price it would be better. Also, service was confusing. No greeting as we entered, and only told we could sat ourselves once i asked. Then had to go in to pay and only knew that once finally told.
Our waiter was nice and gave us a wait time on the food, and it came out well before! The food was good and the portions did not disappoint
Delicious brisket sliders!
Best BBQ in the area
Smokey’s was always a favorite place. E recently picked up a couple of Spinach salads that used to cost around $10 each with chicken breast. Saturday that charged $28 each and $4 for a piece of corn bread. Great food but ridiculous cost. Won’t be going back.
I had high expectations of this place, but i was pretty disappointed. Went with a large group of guys on a motorcycle trip. We all had an assortment of stuff. My son and i both got the 2 meat sampler platter ($32 each). The pork ribs were terrible, they disintegrated when touched, and they were filled with cartilage. The brisket was terrible as well, dry and flavorless. The pulled pork was also not good, dry and flavorless. Others in our group got things like the sliders, which is one small biscuit with a bit of meat on it ($10). Another got the brisket sandwich ($18), again dry and flavorless with very little meat. Overall, portions were very small and this food is expensive. The icing on the cake was a pitcher of Pabst Blue Ribbon, a very cheap beer, was 31 dollars. Not only won't i ever go back here, but I won't recommend it to anyone else.
First time to Smokey's (and I'll be back!) After a 35 mi bike ride, a friend and I indulged in, for me, the pulled pork sandwich. A decent portion of meat, which wasn't fatty or gristly, with great flavor. I recommend adding a grilled pineapple ring, too. Looking back, I would have liked a bit more sauce.

When we walked into the restaurant the menus were tossed to us across a counter without any greeting and we were told to go find a place to sit down. We waited quite a while to order but no one came to our table. One waitress stood with her back to us visiting with a customer and another waitress took orders of people that came in well after us. As we felt so unwelcomed and with the prices being over-inflated for a casual diner with picnic tables inside, we found ourselves happier to leave. This was the rudest we have ever been treated at an eating establishment. Save your money and go somewhere else that wants your business.

Lovely, amazing little shack with a lot of heart. And you can taste it in the food. Service is always so kind here, even if they're packed. Always gotta hit up this spot when heading out to Reno. French onion soup is a must!!
