We always love coming to Smokey’s when driving through Truckee. Their brisket with cheddar sandwich is amazing and full of flavor! Highly recommend!!!

This place was busy, understaffed and the barbecue was nothing to write home about.

Wasn't feeling the pinkish color on the mac and cheese. Should be yellow. Was expecting more brisket for the price.

BBQ dishes are pretty good! The burger next table looks very good, I may try it next time.

Prices are absurd for what is basically a fast casual place. The bbq is good, not great, the sides hit n miss. I can easily spend $50 a person for barbecue platter n a drink … whah?!

Come get some Smokin' BBQ! Off the hook. Grab some BBQ Sauce while you're at it. Chicken slyders on a fresh biscuit and BBQ wings were outstanding!

Better barbecue than most places that are “famous”. Little Truckee gem so please don’t tell too many people ;)
Recommend the brisket and hot links with garlic fries and a side of the hazy IPA.
It’s a little pricey, but most places are now. Treat yourself once.

Got two over price burgers , both well done, my wife was over cooked, mine rare! I am 79 and this was the worse burger I ever had, that says it all!

The food was decent. I like the ribs. Everything else was ok. Had to wait 30 minutes for are food. At least tryif your in the area.
Pretty good food overall. 7/10. We had the BBQ 2 meat sampler, shake and cup.of chilli.
We were going to try the tortilla soup but apparently its seasonal for winter.
The cornbread and sweet potato fries are delicious. 9.5/10.
The shake is good, but ours were runny, the mtn dew flavored one was basically just vanilla with a hint of lemon. The soda could be why it was runny. And for $9 it was very small. 5/10.
The brisket is a 8.5/10.
The pulled chicken was dry and a little bland withoutadding BBQ sauce. 5/10.
Grilled asparagus is wonderful but the bases were left on and flavorful but hard/chewy.
Their BBQ sauce is rummy, white cap mild, red cap hot.
The chili cup was yummy but the shredded cheese was a little old we think. 6/10.
Over all, it was filling and we ate it all. However, we do not think it was worth the price. We have had better for less. Or, if the portions were bigger for the price it would be better. Also, service was confusing. No greeting as we entered, and only told we could sat ourselves once i asked. Then had to go in to pay and only knew that once finally told.
Our waiter was nice and gave us a wait time on the food, and it came out well before! The food was good and the portions did not disappoint
Delicious brisket sliders!
